Will the Light Bulb Ban Vote Fail?

There is some bad news on the horizon for supporters of lifting the ban on incandescent light bulbs. House Republican leadership brought the bill up under suspended rules–destining the legislation for failure. Why did House Republican Leadership do this?

This means that for the ban on light bulbs to be lifted, the House will have to pass the BULB Act by a 2/3 vote.

House Democrats are unlikely to support the legislation after the White House made it clear yesterday that they plan to fight this legislation.
