Contempt of Congress

Eric HolderAfter a roller coaster day of the Obama administration using executive privilege to try and shield Eric Holder from having to turn over documents about the Fast and Furious scandal that has resulted in dead Americans, the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee has finally voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress.

From Politico:

The House Government Oversight and Reform Committee has voted along party lines, 23-17, to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for refusing comply with a subpoena for documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal. The vote came after the Obama administration this morning claimed executive privilege over the records. The next step would be a vote of the full House, but a floor vote is not expected before next week, Republican aides said.
