House leaders narrowly voted down an amendment by Justin Amash to defund the NSA surveillance program. A bipartisan coalition arose to fight the unconstitutional surveillance. (You can watch the full debate on the amendment here.) With only a 7 vote swing, the amendment would have passed. Let your representative know what you think of the amendment. If they voted for it, thank them. If they opposed it, encourage them to vote to protect your 4th amendment rights. With a little pressure, we can win this battle the next time it occurs.
