The swamp is determined not to let President Trump be President

By Printus LeBlanc

Don’t let the John Brennan security clearance media uproar fool you; this is really about the President not being allowed to be President. While it may seem like Trump is the President, the mainstream media, and the swamp are teaming up to stop the President from fulfilling his most basic job requirements.

Last week the D.C. swamp let out a collective gasp as President Trump rescinded the security clearance of former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan. The media went apoplectic, decrying the move was intended to stifle the free speech of one of his main detractors. This is an absurd accusation by the media, which seems to be the par these days. Mr. Brennan does not need a security clearance to work as an MSNBC/NBC contributor. The only people that can stop Brennan from speaking his mind are his bosses in the mainstream media.

The media’s cry about Brennan is in stark contrast to how it reacted to another security clearance pulled. Adam Lovinger had his security clearance pulled for being a whistleblower.

Lovinger worked in the Office of Net Assessment (ONA) in the Pentagon. While there he noticed a few suspicious contract payments. One contract for $11.2 million went to Long Term Strategic Group, a company owned by Chelsea Clinton’s childhood friend, Jacqueline Newmyer.

One of the other contracts Lovinger questioned was a contract for none other than Stefan Halper. The name may sound familiar because the FBI outed Mr. Halper as the spy sorry, confidential human source, sent into the Trump campaign. Lovinger warned of, “the moral hazard associated with the Washington Headquarters Service contracting with Stefan Halper.” Lovinger also believed his boss, James Baker, was using Halper to “conduct foreign relations.” After submitting the complaints, Mr. Lovinger was denied a higher-level security clearance to join the National Security Council, despite having a stellar 12-year career. Media has raised zero fuss over this obvious political retribution.

Another example of the media and swamp not fighting to not let President Trump be President is the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Tired of not getting the amnesty he wanted, in 2012, President Obama announced the DACA program as a work around Congress, despite saying numerous times he didn’t have the authority. DACA was followed up in 2014 with the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA). Both programs were created by the executive branch with nothing to do with Congress.

DAPA would later be ruled unconstitutional because it was amnesty with Congress passing amnesty, but the states that brought the suit held off in suing over DACA hoping Congress would do something. Once President Trump took office, and Republicans had full control it was believed a deal could be worked out. Once it became clear the Democrats and some Republicans wanted no deal, except full amnesty, lawsuits were launched to stop the President from ending the program.

The lawsuits were successful, and one judge has ruled the program President Obama started despite admitting it was unconstitutional must continue under President Trump even if the President doesn’t want it to continue. The ridiculousness of the ruling is astounding. The judge is essentially saying if one President starts an unconstitutional program, the next President must continue it, regardless if he or she agrees with it.

There was the attempt to stop Trump from implementing the travel ban and then just the Russia collusion nonsense. The list goes on and on.

All the stories have a common thread, the mainstream media and the swamp are determined not to let President Trump be President. The swamp and media need to get over the loss of the 2016 election. Never in history has any President faced such a headwind for no reason. The Russia collusion story has been thoroughly debunked. The swamp is fighting back, and President Trump should not yield, but continue the fight.
