Federal Election Commission
The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is the political policing arm of the federal government. From his vantage point atop the political regulator’s span of influence and those within his own organization, FEC Chairman Lee Goodman has intimate knowledge of the administration’s widespread federal effort to shut down conservative and government watchdog voices in media. He confirmed as much in a recent interview:
“I think that there are impulses in the government every day to second guess and look into the editorial decisions of conservative publishers,” adding “The right has begun to break the left’s media monopoly, particularly through new media outlets like the internet, and I sense that some on the left are starting to rethink the breadth of the media exemption and internet communications.”
Of what “second guessing” and “looking into editorial decisions” could Lee possibly be directly referring to?
