The FCC made itself a major player in the media content-control game when they announced their plans to put agency “researchers” into newsrooms and editorial offices to review the content being aired, written, and discussed across spectrum of the daily news cycle.

But observation and research are hardly powerful enough weapons to actually stop the free distribution of information that challenges or serves as a watchdog to institutions of big government.
