Lois Lerner
Lois Lerner is the one person directly responsible for the non-profit application holdups. She has been charged with contempt of Congress for non-cooperation with Congressional investigators and she has twice practiced her Fifth Amendment right not to self-incriminate when sitting before a Congressional committee investigating the IRS scandal.
Lerner also has a peculiar professional background.
Before becoming director of the Exempt Organizations Division of the IRS, Ms. Lerner was a bureaucrat at another federal organization that oversaw the daily activities of conservative organizations, the exact place where Lee Goodman would observe firsthand government aggression toward conservative media: she brought her ideas of government overreach from the FEC, thus completing the circle of corruption.
From the perspective of this admittedly Conservative media co-conspirator, this circular set of circumstances appears to bear a resemblance to a vast conspiracy.
