Kamala Harris, bolstered by the biased mainstream media, is attempting to rewrite her record as Vice President of the United States for the past four years, but polling shows a majority of voters blame Harris for a number of international and domestic failures in the Biden Administration.
The Sept. 8 New York Times/Siena College poll shows Americans say Harris is at least partially to blame for the border crisis by a 35-point margin, 63 percent to 28 percent. A full 39 percent of Americans say Harris holds “a lot of blame” for the border crisis, while just 16 percent of the country says Harris holds “no blame at all”.
Even a third of Democrats admit Harris is partially to blame for the millions of illegal immigrants streaming across the southern border, with 32 percent of Democrats saying she is at least partially responsible for the border crisis, while 54 percent deny she is to blame at all.
Independents say by a 34-point margin, 63 percent to 29 percent, Harris is at least partially to blame for the border crisis. Hispanics blame Harris for the border crisis by a 28-point margin, 52 percent to 24 percent.
These are bleak numbers for a woman who is allegedly polling neck and neck with former President Donald Trump in key battleground states. Then there is the economy, despite Harris vaguely claiming to be able to bring change to the country and reduce inflation, a plurality of Americans hold Harris at least partially responsible for the high cost of food, fuel, and basic goods.
The Times poll shows Americans say by a 15-point margin, 54 percent to 39 percent, that Harris is at least partially responsible for the unsustainable cost of basic needs. Of those, 26 percent of voters say Harris should receive “a lot of blame” for high prices. Independents blame Harris by 16 points, 54 percent to 38 percent, and even 20 percent of Democrats hold Harris at least partially responsible for rising costs, but 71 percent find her blameless. Hispanics find Harris to blame at least partially for higher prices by seven points, 47 percent to 40 percent.
Voters also hold Harris at least partially responsible for the disastrous and deadly U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan two years ago, where thirteen U.S. servicemembers lost their lives. Americans say by thirteen points, 50 percent to 37 percent, that Harris holds “a lot or some of the blame” for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, with 24 percent of the country saying she deserves a lot of the blame. Independents blame Harris 45 percent to 41 percent, and even 22 percent of Democrats say Harris is at least partially to blame for the way the withdrawal was handled. Hispanics agree by three points, 41 percent to 38 percent.
In addition, the poll shows that Americans say by a margin of six points, 52 percent to 46 percent, that Harris is a “risky choice” for president. As for what the country is looking for, Americans say by a vast 27-point margin, 61 percent to 34 percent, that they think the next President should “represent a major change from Joe Biden”.
Harris has unsuccessfully attempted to portray herself as a blameless bystander during the disastrous first four years of the Biden Administration, but Americans are not buying it.
The latest New York Times/Siena college poll taken Sept. 11 to Sept. 16 shows this isn’t necessarily working, compared to Times/Siena polling conducted Sept. 8, just before the first debate between Trump and Harris.
Pre-debate, independents backed Trump on the economy by 14 points, 40 percent to 54 percent, but that gap has widened to 18 points. In the latest poll, independents back Trump on the economy 58 percent to 36 percent, a four-point gain for Trump since the debate and a four-point loss for Harris.
By double-digits, Americans say Harris is at least partially responsible for the porous border, our disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, and crippling inflation, and well over half the country thinks the next president should be a departure from Biden’s failed agenda.
Whether that will be enough to tip the scales toward Former President Trump in November is certainly no guarantee, but it is clear the American people are not buying Harris’ attempt to minimize her four years steering the country into poverty and disarray under Joe Biden.
