Whiny Mark Warner Lets The Truth Slip Out

By Bill Wilson

Last week, U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) let loose with a temper tantrum worthy of the most outraged 2-year-old. And like the toddler’s reaction to being denied what he thought was his right, Warner has run to the propaganda bosses of the major controlled-corporate media to complain and hurl insults and the now-familiar epithets at the Trump administration.

What caused the current meltdown? It seems that Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee had scheduled a meeting with a top-secret agency and the meeting had been canceled at the direction of the Secretary of Defense. The agency, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, is charged with analyzing information from spy satellites. The agency is headed by a Biden holdover that has raised concerns that the agency is still in the hands of active deep-state opponents of the President.

Regardless, the visit was blocked due to the lack of bi-partisan involvement. The fact that Warner would go on his own to such a sensitive agency with no GOP counterpart was in fact the legitimate reason for the cancellation.

The mandate that there be bipartisan oversight of the huge, off-book “intelligence” apparatus was one of the main outcomes of the Church Investigations. In the 1970s, Democrat Senate Frank Church of Idaho led Congressional investigations into the CIA and other intelligences arms. What he unearthed was a complete disregard for the principles on which the nation was founded. An unaccountable secret cabal of people who had no oversight and who openly pursued their own agendas independent of the elected representative of the people. The Church Committee instituted reforms of which the bipartisan mandate was one.

But as with all bureaucracies, over time — a very short period of time to be exact — the fox was back ruling the henhouse. The so-called “oversight” by Congress was turned into yet another wall of protection for what would come to be known as the Deep State. Warner is simply the most recent example of a so-called “oversight leader” being captured by the very entity he is charged with reining in.

While whining about his missed meeting with a top Biden appointee still in charge of a sensitive agency, Warner spilled the beans on a few things that raise some very serious questions. In the article on the matter in the Washington Post, Warner asks, “Is congressional oversight dead? Is congressional power of the purse dead? Those are fair questions to ask.”

Yes, Senator they in fact are very fair questions. Were you doing your “oversight” when the CIA and FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane? Were you made aware of the use of a bogus memorandum paid for by Hillary Clinton as the “rationale” for the entire U.S. intelligence system to be deployed against her political opponent? And, did you approve the expenditure of vast sums of tax money to prop up the illusion with hundreds of agents looking for crimes that were never committed?

Where was your cherished “oversight” and “power of the purse” then?

The Post writer ends his report by stating, “By law, the intelligence agencies must inform the committees about their operations and the CIA must report any covert actions it undertakes.”

Did they? Or, did they break the law?

Were you informed of the lawfare against Donald Trump and countless others who embraced his MAGA movement? Were you aware of the collusion between the various agencies, state level Democrat officials and the involvement of foreign intelligence services, all designed to undercut and destroy someone who held an alternative view of foreign policy and America’s role in the world? What did you know and when did you know it?

For once, the Washington Post has supplied some meaningful information. It is the law Senator, the very law that you are trying to hide behind, that the CIA inform Congress of their actions. Were you informed, and so were part of the assault on our Republic? Or, did the CIA and others openly break the “law” and kept you in the dark?

Which is it Senator — have you been an evil co-conspirator or were you duped? Either way, the facts suggest it is time for you to let someone else do the job, you are clearly past your “use by” date.
