CBS Morning News Reporter: “As cases have plummeted and more Americans grow exhausted with the pandemic, lifting some of these mask mandates has been welcomed by many with a sigh of relief. More and more parents across the country in places where mask mandates remain in effect in schools, are arguing now is the time to finally take those masks off.

Now contrast that with how a CBS affiliate in Virginia covered Governor Glen Younkin’s lifting of mask mandates.

CBS News affiliate anchor: We are going to fact check Governor Youngkin’s claims he made when he lifted the mask mandate.

CBS news affiliate reporter: so, the CDC still says that masks are effective at stopping the spread of the virus.

This is a total joke and it’s why it’s so few Americans trust corporate media!

The Biden’s administration is finalizing a plan to dole out crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its ‘Harm Reduction Plan.’ With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.
The $30 million grant program will begin doling out money in May, intends to provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to make drug use safer, to advance – quote racial equity. Here’s what Louisiana Senator John Kennedy had to say about the obviously outrageous use of taxpayer money.
Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.): I don’t think when moms and dads lie down at night and can’t sleep, they are worried about clean injection sites and sterile crack pipes. The issue. Mr. President is crime. The issue, Mr. President is how to stop it. Not how to encourage it.

A spokesperson for the Health and Human Services Department said taxpayer money could be used to buy pipes for users to smoke substances like crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, or ‘any illicit substance.’

“The responsibility should shift from a government mandate imposed from the state or a local district on the school, rather it should shift to individual responsibility by family who can still decide that their child can wear a mask. We should be intellectually honest and say that masking has had a cost especially on our youngest learners, people with English as a second language, children with learning disabilities. There has been a cost to them.”

According to The Federalist, the inspector general for the U.S. Capitol Police has opened a formal investigation into whether the law enforcement agency tasked with securing the Capitol has been inappropriately surveilling elected members of Congress, their staff, and visitors to their offices.

The ratings at scandal-ridden CNN have collapsed over the past twelve months – with the once venerable network losing ninety percent of its viewers. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Media critic Joe Concha tells Fox News:

“From a business perspective, they have lost ninety percent of their audience when compared to this same time last year. Imagine that. Ten people are in a room, they are watching CNN one year ago. Nine have left the room. So busines is horrible. It has no leader. This is the state of CNN at this point, which has no credibility and certainly is not the network that I watched growing up during the two Gulf Wars where their reporting and their objectivity was something to behold. It was a great network. Now it is a shell of itself. It has collapsed.”
Two CNN producers have recently been ousted from the network after being swept up in separate criminal investigations involving alleged sex crimes with minors.
Meanwhile, CNN’s chief legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin, returned to the network last June following a lengthy absence from his Zoom masturbation scandal in 2020.
