Begin to withdraw all American troops,’ it will take a year to get the American troops out. Do you hear me now? That’s the truth. It will take a year to get them physically out. If you leave all the equipment behind you might be able to do it in seven months and you leave those billions of dollars of weapons behind, they’re going to be used, I promise, against your grandchildren and mine someday.”

Not only did Biden ignore all the advice from his generals, he even ignored his own good advice.

Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary laughed at the idea of encouraging more domestic oil production to blunt high gasoline prices. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Check out what former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm told Bloomberg News:

“In Sturgis, Michigan, it is $2.89 a gallon. I guess that is better than in California. What is the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?

Granholm laughs.
“Oh my goodness, that is hilarious. Would that I had the magic wand on this. As you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC and they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning.”

On top of that, Granholm is considering shutting down a critical oil pipeline in Michigan. That would drive up home heating costs even further this winter. Biden’s reckless no-energy policies are hurting Americans.

The question now is which wing of the party will prevail in the short term – will the AOC wing get their massive socialist spending bill passed or will the more mainstream Democrats reject it – fearing a vote for the progressive agenda could cost them their seat in next year’s midterm elections?
