Judge Robert Chatigny has been nominated by the Obama administration to the Court of Appeals of the second circuit. The Judge in question has shown questionable rulings on sex crimes, and is linked to a serial killer in the early 1980’s; Michael Ross (The Roadside Strangler). Michael Ross is a seriously sick character and yet somehow Judge Chatigny was trying to help him out, even delaying his execution twice. Judge Chatigny was acting more as an advocate for this serial killer rather than an impartial purveyor of the law. Now with his nomination, if confirmed, Judge Chatigny will be promoted to a higher court. This is not a good idea… He should be impeached not promoted.
Tell your Senators to vote NO on Judge Chatigny.

In keeping with our man on the street videos (in this case it’s Woman on the street) we ask random people what they think about politics and issues of the day. This particular video was shot on location in Fairfax Virginia right outside of Old Town Fairfax. Our topic today is about youth unemployment and the Department of Labor threatening to ban all unpaid interns. See how local students react to our questions.

The United States Secretary of Labor for the Obama Administration, Hilda Solis, disregards an old Bush policy of not raising the salary of incoming government employees above 20 percent. She hired 6 of her old congressional staffers to cushy appointments in the Department of Labor and rewards 5 of them with large increases in their salaries well above 20 percent. Honestly, it must be nice to have political connections so that you can get a huge income boost for doing nothing other than knowing someone. Isn’t that nice? You too can make a whole lot of money working a Federal job for Hilda if you worked with her before, and just think how you can spend all that new cash!!! CHA-CHING!!!
It’s all Hope, Change, and Progress in this new administration so we got a little silly and presented this in a Game Show format to change up our regular coverage of federal politics… enjoy
UPDATE: So what about the salaries of these staffers today? They’ve grown even more since this video was made… it’s all up up up! Remember these numbers and percentages were just the numbers used when they were hired. All of them are well over 50 raise right now, and many are over 100…So you can sleep safely in your bed knowing that some Department of Labor political staffer can afford a second beach house due to your tax dollars! YAY! Hope, Change, and CHA-CHING!… I mean Progress…
