For people who don’t like walls and fences, the Democrats sure are building a lot of them these days! With Today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

The federal government has constructed security walls and fencing across Washington, DC, in anticipation of President-elect Joe Biden inauguration this week, even though he opposes such barriers at the nation’s international borders.

Following riots at the United States Capitol on January 6, the federal government has ordered 25,000 National Guardsmen to Washington, DC.

Crews are erecting barriers with razor wire around the U.S. Capitol. Similar barriers have been placed along streets and around the reflecting pool which sits in between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

While the barriers will be in place through next week’s inauguration, Biden has promised to stop all construction of wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and has claimed that such barriers do not reduce illegal crossings, though federal data indicates otherwise.

Americans are now primed to punish their fellow Americans for our political views to a greater extent than we have seen before. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

The Big Tech censorship and cancel culture may soon come to you and me.

Think about everything you do in daily life. Consider how reliant you are on goods and services controlled by entities in whole or in part run by executives who hate your political views.

The left has already said it is making lists to prevent Trump administration personnel from getting jobs in the private sector. What’s to stop them or their allies in the media and corporate America from doing the same to any of us?

If this continues, the American Left could develop a Chinese communist party style “social credit” system where private enterprises grade us on ideology and determine what we can and cannot do based on how closely we hew to its ideology.

Trump does it again, peace breaks out between Israel and neighbors. With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. President Donald Trump and his administration have achieved a fourth peace agreement with Israel, this time with Morocco, effectively normalizing relations between Israel and Morocco.

Trump continues to prove to be the greatest peace President in modern American history. Prior peace and normalization agreements with United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Bahrain and Israel set the stage for the opportunity of a generation to put finally the Middle East at peace.

It is incumbent upon Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who has a long history of supporting Israel, to demand that a potential Biden administration move forward with a winning peace process rather than gazing back longingly to their failed policies of the past. Donald Trump continues to be the most consequential President this century. It would be a shame if his peace legacy was abandoned by a China-bowing Biden stuck in the 1990s foreign policy establishment construct. For more check us out at the Daily Torch.com

The U.S. media has bombarded Americans with a torrent of unrelenting bad news when it comes to Covid. A new National Bureau of Economic Research paper says the media went too far and created a climate of fear and even panic. They found that 91 percent of stories by major U.S. media outlets were negative in tone. Stories of increasing Covid-19 cases outnumbered stories of decreasing cases by a factor of more than 5-to-1, even during times when new cases were declining. That imbalance in media coverage has created a climate of fear. Americans, including our lawmakers, began to respond to the virus in irrational ways. Basic virology went out the window as ’15 days to flatten the curve’ devolved into a mad idea that we must close down society and shelter from the virus, unleashing unprecedented restrictions on economic freedom and destroying untold numbers of lives and livelihoods in the process. Red States Could Have Upper Hand in Possible Biden Presidency. With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

In an ironic twist, the United States Supreme Court let stand a lower court ruling that the federal government could not withhold appropriated law enforcement dollars from the state of California – even though it refused to enforce federal immigration policy. This could have big implications for a potential Biden presidency.

Assuming that the Supreme Court applies the same regard to conservative states as they have given the state of California, these states can resist a potential Biden administration’s encroachment on their state policies. The supreme Court said the federal government cannot force states to enforce or administer a federal regulatory program.

With the GOP controlling the legislative branch in thirty-one states next year, almost half the states could opt-out or outright reject the most egregious federal policies, effectively neutering Biden on domestic policy.
