Dr. Mike Burgess (R-TX) will be introducing an amendment to the Energy and Water appropriations bill that, if passed, will bring an end to the ban of incandescent light bulbs.
The Burgess amendment will block implementation or enforcement of Department of Energy regulations to phase-out incandescent light bulbs; or implementation or enforcement of Energy Policy and Conservation Act standards with respect to incandescent light bulbs.
The amendment will be introduced this afternoon, and a vote will most likely occur tomorrow.
