Appointment Watch: Jarrett and Holdren
The mainstream media continue to ignore President Obama’s appointment of bizarre personnel to run the government. Personnel is policy. That being the case the American people need to know about these appointments. This week we look another couple of Obama appointees. These are not isolated incidents or an occasional bad apple. These folks are representative of the appointments he is making with little or no push back from the Senate during the confirmation process.
Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Liaison
- Most of the press coverage of Jarrett has been favorable, but many are not aware of the problems in her background.
- Jarrett is feared because of her close personal relationship with the President and the power that comes from this relationship.
- Jarrett at a salary of over $300,000 a year ran a property management company that mismanaged housing units allowing conditions like sewage backups and rodent problems to occur. She commented that it is hard to manage something you don’t own.
- Jarrett was appointed to her position, which does not require Senate confirmation, early in the Obama Administration.
John Holdren, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (Science Czar)
- Holdren has been a big proponent of population control.
- Holdren has suggested adding a sterilant to drinking water in order to control the population.
- Holdren advocated a “de-development” of the United States.
- Holdren was confirmed by the Senate on March 19, 2009, and not one Senator voted against him.
