2006: An Inconvenient “Truth”
Coming full circle thirty years later, Al Gore warned the world of the exact opposite climate disaster predicted by the so-supposed “resounding majority” of worldwide climate scientists.
Global warming was an instant pop culture hit, reinvigorating job-killing EPA regulations, spurring Hollywood blockbusters like The Day After Tomorrow, and opening the door for Al Gore to become a very, very wealthy man. By the time Gore won an Oscar for the movie Inconvenient Truth, the scare campaign had come full circle with the media fully embracing the “dangerous” warming concept complete with apocalyptic visions of Manhattan under water due to the melted polar ice caps. Today, the world sits less than two years away from Gore’s ten-year deadline to fix the environment before we all fry.
