Democrats think if they just have a one-vote majority, they think they have a mandate and they will pass their agenda, even if it means they lose their majority in the next election.
Americans for Limited Government President Richard Manning joins Chosen Generation Radio show host Pastor Greg Young every Wednesday morning. This week they talk about the unprecedented threats to liberty.
Manning said that Democrats think if they just have a one-vote majority, they think they have a mandate and they will pass their agenda, even if it means they lose their majority in the next election.
“They know that whatever they get done will become permanent, Republicans will never be able to overturn or remove their measures,” Manning explained. “So, they just go full steam ahead with only a one vote majority.”
Pastor Greg noted that Republicans play too nice in Congress, and get played by the Democrats.
“You are right,” Manning said. “I’ve seen time and again, all across the country, where Republicans try to be nice and they lose the majority all the time. We need to demand that they play differently. That is the point of Americans for Limited Government’s engagement program. We want to give people a way to easily contact their lawmakers and have their voices heard.”
