Last week, the media was flooded with stories coming from a group of named and anonymous Democratic office-holders all warning in the gravest tones possible that their “base” has had enough. There were open calls, we were warned, for arrests, for direct confrontation, for extreme action, even blood!
Axios quoted one stating, “Our own base is telling us that what we’re doing is not good enough… Some of them have suggested … what we really need to do is be willing to get shot… that there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public.”
Another despaired, “civility isn’t working” and to be “[be ready for] violence … to fight to protect our democracy.”
This is nuts.
And yet if it all seems so familiar, it should. Had we not heard these same threats before? Have there been any serious Democratic insider willing to stand up and condemn these demands for open rebellion? If there has been, they did not get much media attention. And given how the legacy media only pushes out what the Democrats tell them to, it is fair to assume there are no Democrats openly attacking the proclamations for violence.
But take a step back. What are we really seeing here?
The truth is this is a standard ploy in the Marxist political violence playbook: “Give us more of what we want or there will be riots. Don’t move against radical agendas or you will lose big-time in the next election. top hurting the monster-state or there will be blood in the street.”
Over the past 60 years it has been threatened so many times, incrementally leading to the vast, extraconstitutional federal leviathan, open borders, global trade nightmare of today, that it is a bit surprising that only now are large numbers of people calling them out on their gambit.
All of this is designed to do one thing, empower the quisling wing of the GOP to “tone down” the reforms being pushed by the current Trump administration. Get a few weak-kneed members of the GOP caucus to block action like the threats of Thom Tillis and others to block appointments if they don’t conform to his distorted, puritanical view of the world.
In a word, all these threats and handwringing are ploys. And the only acceptable way to deal with moves like this is to call the bluff, double down. You think you can quell the violence of this faction by disenfranchising the 77 million people who vote for President Donald Trump and Republican majorities in the House and Senate in 2024?
In that vein, may I suggest that the appropriate member of the GOP in Congress or the Trump administration start responding in a manner that even a Democrat block captain can understand. And what is that?
If the radical shock troops of the Democratic base engage in violence, they will be met with overwhelming force, as under the President’s current federalization of the National Guard in California.
For those found to be engaged in “malicious compliance” inside the government, the response will not be just the loss of their job, it will be jail. And to the agents of a U.S. color revolution, if they are not citizens, they will be deported. We’re just not going to tolerate turning our country into a war zone. So, it needs to be put down.
These people do not have the right or the justification to overturn the election. It’s not even necessary. The midterms will be in 2026 and then another go at the White House in 2028. It’s not that long.
But the pattern keeps repeating. If they continue to try with threatened and actual violence, their actions should be labeled as insurrection and treated accordingly.
Then there is the issue of material support. Who is paying for all of this? Where does the money come from for the signs, and lawyers and pallets of bricks? The funders are more culpable than the rioters. The financial loss for the funders needs to be severe, and the Justice Department should investigate.
After decades of abuse by the Democratic radicals of the American people, there are literally thousands of actions that need to be taken to dig out the rot and then start the process of rebuilding our republic. There is no time to waste on the pretentious ranting of purple-haired PhD candidates, or the obstructionist acts of overpaid bureaucrats. There is a country and an ideal to save. No time should be spent on the silly, childish ploys of those who mean America only harm.
