After the 1982 death of Soviet Leader Leonid Brezhnev and a successor crisis, the USSR landed a new leader in the mid-1980s. His name was Mikhail Gorbachev. American President Ronald Reagan wanted to meet with him, and eventually the date and location of this summit was set!
