Democrats are blaming the massive new surge of illegals at the border on Donald Trump. But the facts tell a different story. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. This week House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy traveled to the border on a fact-finding mission.

Kevin McCarthy: “Every part of what we sat and talked to, we learned more of how it was created. Congressman Jimenez talked to a family from Honduras and asked how long they’d been traveling, 22 days, just a coincidence of the actions taken by President Biden of why people think they can come here and break the law.”

Apprehensions at the border jumped 28 percent last month compared to January. Of the more than 100,000 people apprehended, nearly a third were unaccompanied minors. This is Biden’s border crisis. His catch-and-release policies are inviting migrants to make a dangerous trek to the U.S.

We don’t need Joe Biden’s permission for family gatherings. Because our freedom doesn’t come from government. We were born free — but during Covid, Big Government has taken our freedom from us. South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham says a trio of Democratic bills passed by the House could radically change America. Graham called out the $1.9 trillion COVID stimulus bill noting that ninety percent of it has nothing to do with COVID. The legislation will forgive loans for farmers but only if they’re – quote – socially disadvantaged, if you’re African-American, some other minority, but if you’re a white person – no forgiveness. Graham also attacked H.R. 1, a bill that would legalize election fraud and abuse — calling it open borders for voting. Graham said under this measure, there would be no verification of who you are. Mail-in voting run rampant. Finally, the senator took aim at the Equality Act – a bill that does away with the distinction between being man and woman in the law. Biological boys will start playing in girls sports and if you’re a religious organization this bill would strip you of religious protections. Also readily available on the site is the book “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” an anti-semitic conspiracy theory book that purported to reveal a Jewish plot for world domination. Bidders on eBay can also purchase “The Planter’s Northern Bride,” a U.S. pro-slavery novel as well as “Race Crossing in Jamaica,” a book of racist pseudoscience by the eugenicist Charles Davenport. Banned or challenged books are a common cultural flashpoint in the U.S., though it remains relatively rare for publishers to cease printing popular works as did Seuss Enterprises. The Looney Tunes cartoon skunk who was popular when I was a kid was always pursuing a cat that looked like a skunk. Times columnist Charles M. Blow took to twitter claiming the skunk normalized rape culture.” After blowback, Blow took to Twitter to say – quote right-Le Pew grabs/kisses a girl/stranger, repeatedly, without consent and against her will. She struggles mightily to get away from him, but he won’t release her. He locks a door to prevent her from escaping. In 2018, author Richard Wright made the claim that watching Lew Pew – quote – merrily bouncing towards a terrified female black cat who had the misfortune of somehow getting a white stripe painted along her back – provided a cue that normalized rape culture and patriarchy.
