One bright spot in 2021 — we will no longer be subjected to CNN’s airport network. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. CNN announced this week it is pulling the plug on its long-running Airport Network, citing a deep decline in airport traffic because of Covid as one of the reasons.
For years, CNN has relied heavily on airport travelers for its viewership, which had cratered for much of the Trump presidency. People on Social media are thrilled to see an end to this onerous aspect of the fake news network. Here’s a sampling of what people are saying.

The House has just voted to once again impeach President Donald Trump, charging him with incitement of insurrection. The single article of impeachment states the President “willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged — and foreseeably resulted in — lawless action at the Capitol.” President Trump did nothing of the sort, but the facts do not matter to the House. At the Save America Rally on Jan. 6, President Trump explicitly urged everyone to “peacefully” protest the Electoral College certification of Joe Biden as President-elect: “We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” Under no standard of law do those statements constitute incitement of insurrection. They are political speech fully protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This snap impeachment is not just about removing President Trump from office with just six days left in his term — it is about canceling you and the 74 million Americans who voted for him. This rush to judgement will not end in the Senate, where a trial is constitutionally prescribed — although, after Jan. 20 any case for removal will be moot — it will go on and on. If you supported President Trump, if you thought the 2020 election was not conducted honestly, either you renounce him, or you could lose your job. Your access to banking. Your social media accounts. Subjected to political violence. It will never end. If the Senate proceeds to another divisive trial, and were to vote to convict, either before or after Jan. 20, then millions of Americans will be disenfranchised. The nation will be divided. And even the Union imperiled. Millions of Americans who supported President Trump think this means they are next. That Congress is declaring them to be enemies of the state. Are they wrong?
Liberal journalist Glenn Greenwald reports that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was largely planned on Facebook and NOT A SINGLE user of Parler has been arrested. with today’s ALG Minute. I’m Catherine Mortensen. While Big Tech has baselessly taken down Parler and banned the app from smartphones, according to Greenwald, not a single user of Parler has been arrested for their involvement in the Capitol riot. Just as it was wrong to take down Parler, it would be equally wrong to destroy Facebook’s due to it being used as an organizing tool for political violence.
If Amazon, Google and Apple held Facebook to the same standards that they’ve falsely held Parler to, Facebook would now be similarly deplatformed. Americans for Limited Government abhors Big Tech’s knee-jerk abuse of power against Parler on false claims that they were advocating violence. House Democrats are proceeding apace with their plans to impeach President Donald Trump before his term ends on Jan. 20 when Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, accusing Trump of inciting insurrection after the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 following the Save America Rally he spoke at challenging the outcome of the 2020 election. It will tear the country apart again, and President-elect Joe Biden can stop it with a single phone call. The single article of impeachment states the President “willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged — and foreseeably resulted in — lawless action at the Capitol.” The riot that followed sadly resulted in five deaths, including Capitol Hill police officer Brian D. Sicknick who died after sustaining injuries at the riot and Ashli Babbitt who was shot by a Capitol Hill police officer in the Capitol. But President Trump never incited anyone. In fact, he urged everyone to be peaceful at the rally: “We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” After the violence began, Trump on Twitter urged his followers to stop immediately: “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!” So, right off the bat, once again, House Democrats lack a real crime with which to prosecute President Trump for giving a speech that never urged violence and was most certainly covered by the First Amendment. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram’s lifetime ban of President Trump has set off an insidious assault on free speech that is reaching into all corners of the free markets.

1. It’s not just Trump Big Tech is banning.
In just the past few days, Twitter banned the account of Trump campaign digital director Gary Coby.
Facebook and Instagram have just banned journalist Elijah Schaffer, an utterly harmless investigator who was known for his revealing interviews with leftist demonstrators.
In another significant development, Brandon Straka’s #WalkAway movement, with over 500,000 members, has just been banned from Facebook. Not only was Straka’s campaign account removed, but so was his personal account along with the accounts of every member of his team.
2. Other groups emboldened to dump Trump and supporters..
The Professional Golf Association announced it will move the 2022 PGA Championship away from Trump’s New Jersey golf course.
The payment processor company Stripe says will no longer provide its service to Trump’s campaign.
E-Commerce company – Shopify – removed all online stores affiliated with Trump, including shop.donaldjtrump.com and trumpstore.com.
Blue Cross Blue Shield – said it will no longer donate money to politicians who voted to reject the results of the presidential election.
Marriot – the world’s largest hotel chain announced it is suspending donations to the Republican senators who voted against Biden’s election win.
Kansas City-based Commerce Bank also said it will pause PAC contributions from politicians who “impeded the peaceful transfer of power.”
3. The attack on Parler was a coordinated assassination. Apple, Google, Amazon, Twilio, Cloudflare, all went nuclear on Parler – dropping Parler within hours of each other.
4. WordPress, which is a major website hosting service, kicked the Conservative Treehouse off its servers.
5. Americans who supported President Trump are facing the most formidable assemblage of financial and media special interests in the history of the world. This is no exaggeration.
Big Tech intends to control everything Americans think and say.
The events of January 6 gave these companies, along with their other corporate and political partners on the Left, an excuse to clamp down harder and faster on free speech and on the people who still oppose their plans.

The House approved a rules package late Monday that will govern their proceedings for this Congress. It crushes minority rights.
The worst new rule weakens the motion to recommit, which allows members of Congress to STOP or amend a bill before it is voted upon on the House floor. It’s one of the few ways the minority Republicans might have influence over legislation. Remember when the Dems were accusing Trump of being a threat to our democracy?
