The FBI is illegally spying on the American people, FISA court says. Why is this still happening?

The FBI is still illegally spying on American citizens — and Attorney General Barr needs to stop it from happening again:

As the nation patiently awaits the Justice Department Inspector General report on Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court abuses that occurred in 2016 when President Donald Trump and his campaign were falsely accused of being Russian agents by the Obama administration’s intelligence agencies and Justice Department, the American people now know that at least some of those abuses continued well after Obama left office through 2018, according to now-declassified court documents. Per Judge James Boasberg’s opinion, “The Court next examines the prevalence of non-compliant queries conducted by FBI personnel to return information about U.S. persons from Section 702-acquired data. It ultimately finds the FBI’s querying and minimization procedures, as implemented, to be inconsistent with statutory minimization requirements and the requirements of the Fourth Amendment.” Meaning, during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the false conspiracy theory that Trump was a Russian agent, the FBI was failing to properly minimize the identities of American citizens, with 3.1 million queries “against raw FISA-acquired information … including section 702-acquired information” in 2017 alone. How can this happen in America?

Ellen’s right, just because Americans don’t agree on everything doesn’t mean they can’t be friends

Ellen is right, everything has become far too political, and her statement against hateful partisanship is a victory for America and the civil society:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/ellen-is-right-everything-has-become-far-too-political-and-her-statement-against-hateful-partisanship-is-a-victory-for-america-and-the-civil-society/

America is tearing itself apart — over everything. Politics. Cultural issues. Economics. Foreign policy. Social justice. But we also don’t have to. This was on display when a light-hearted moment appeared on the American people’s television screens on Oct. 6 when the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Green Bay Packers. Ellen DeGeneres and former President George W. Bush were pictured sitting together, laughing and enjoying the game. God forbid. DeGeneres faced some backlash on social media, but the full fury would not come — with celebrities denouncing DeGeneres for consorting with a “war criminal” — until she defended in a monologue on her television program not only her friendship with the former president, but our civil society as a whole. She said, “Here’s the thing: I’m friends with George Bush. I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think that we’ve forgotten that that’s okay that we’re all different… But just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them. When I say be kind to one another, I don’t mean only the people who think the same way that you do. I mean, be kind to everyone. Doesn’t matter.” Good on Ellen.

Do Trump’s trade critics care more about China’s economy than America’s?

With a trade deal with Japan and a strong U.S. economy, where is the trade depression the Smoot-Hawley alarmists predicted?
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/with-a-trade-deal-with-japan-and-a-strong-u-s-economy-where-is-the-trade-depression-the-smoot-hawley-alarmists-predicted/

In the 2016 election pundits were tripping over themselves to predict that if President Donald Trump won and implemented his planned trade agenda, which included tariffs, why, we’d have a global recession perhaps even as bad as the Great Depression. Well, Trump went through with the tariffs on China, so where’s the trade depression some were warning about? 2018 as it turns out had the strongest economic growth since 2005 at 2.9 percent. Unemployment is now at a 50-year low at 3.5 percent, whereas in the Great Depression it hit a high of more than 25 percent. And now with the first step of a free trade deal with Japan finalized with reciprocal tariff reductions on agriculture and digital trade — plus other deals with South Korea, Mexico and Canada — bold predictions of an all-out trade war with the rest of the world have proven to be greatly exaggerated. Even on China, where trade talks continue, Trump has shown a willingness to negotiate for reciprocal tariff and non-tariff reductions that his critics alleged the President was incapable of. Were the doubters just wrong about everything?

Ukraine started Burisma-Bidengate probe in 2018, so where’s the quid pro quo? In a time machine?

Removed U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine wanted prosecutor who says he was investigating Burisma-Bidengate fired, too:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/removed-u-s-ambassador-to-ukraine-wanted-prosecutor-who-says-he-was-investigating-burisma-bidengate-fired-too/

Now-recalled U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch to Ukraine — removed from her post in May — attempted to have anti-corruption prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi fired in March. Then, on March 20, then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko in a recorded interview with The Hill’s John Solomon told him that rooting out corruption in Ukraine was difficult because, in his words, “Unfortunately, from the first meeting with the U.S. ambassador in Kiev, [Yovanovitch] gave me a list of people whom we should not prosecute.” A month later, Yovanovitch was recalled. A do-not-prosecute list? What the heck is going on over there?

With unemployment at 50-year low, maybe Dems want to impeach Trump because they can’t win in 2020

With 50-year low unemployment rate at 3.5 percent, time to reset any recession clock until after the election:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/with-50-year-low-unemployment-rate-at-3-5-percent-time-to-reset-any-recession-clock-until-after-the-election/

The U.S. economy got another dose of amazing news on Oct. 4 when the national unemployment rate dropped to a 50-year low of 3.5 percent. 6.1 million jobs have been created since President Donald Trump took office. And that means Democrats hoping for a recession for the 2020 election to help oust Trump might be little bit disappointed in the coming months. What do you think?

If Ukraine reopened Burisma-Bidengate in 2018, how could there be a quid pro quo in July 2019?

It was Ukraine that reopened the Burisma-Biden probe in 2018 and sought U.S. mutual legal assistance to look at it, not the other way around:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/it-was-ukraine-that-reopened-the-burisma-biden-probe-in-2018-and-sought-u-s-mutual-legal-assistance-to-look-at-it-not-the-other-way-around/

The Ukraine Prosecutor General’s office reopened its investigation of Burisma Holdings and former Vice President Joe Biden in 2018 after Biden bragged in Jan. 2018 that he had the former prosecutor general fired, and was seeking U.S. assistance with the investigation because of Biden’s role. By the time President Trump spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky In July 2019, responding to it, as it turns out, Zelensky was already on top of it, the investigation was already active and then Zelensky renewed Ukraine’s request for assistance, saying “I would kindly ask you if you have any additional information that you can provide to us, it would be very helpful for the investigation to make sure that we administer justice in our country…” Ukraine sought out U.S. assistance, not the other way around. Can you believe this?

Kickstarter deplatforms comic creator for depicting hero fighting ‘marginalized’ MS-13 gang

Kickstarter calls MS-13 ‘marginalized group,’ deplatforms conservative comic creator whose hero is depicted beating up gang members who mugged a woman:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/kickstarter-calls-ms-13-marginalized-group-deplatforms-conservative-comic-creator-whose-hero-is-depicted-beating-up-gang-members-who-mugged-a-woman/

A conservative comic book creator was deplatformed from the crowdfunding website Kickstarter because the vigilante hero from his book is depicted beating up MS-13-esque gang members while saving a black woman from being mugged, with Kickstarter calling the gang a “marginalized group.” The letter read, “As a Public Benefit Corporation committed to fighting inequality and creating a more equitable world, Kickstarter does not allow discrimination, subjugation, or intolerance towards marginalized groups.” Miller fired back at Kickstarter on Twitter, writing, “Hey team @kickstarter, it’s nice to see that you consider MS-13 a ‘marginalized group’, since that’s the only people who were being ‘subjugated’ in the artwork I provided… More wokeness from the tech companies on display.” It is mean-spirited political bias by Kickstarter, no question, but its decision is still quite unbelievable to protect what the Justice Department has called “the world’s most notorious gang” that targets juveniles and dismembers victims. Can you believe this?

Democrats can’t impeach President Trump for having AG Barr enforce the law and prevent intel abuse

Attorney General Barr and President Trump are constitutionally obligated to enforce the law, prevent intel abuse and root out corruption:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/attorney-general-barr-and-president-trump-are-constitutionally-obligated-to-enforce-the-law-prevent-intel-abuse-and-root-out-corruption/

To hear House Democrats and left-wing media outlets tell it, any discharge of President Donald Trump’s official duties that might tangentially benefit him politically is now a high crime or misdemeanor and an impeachable offense. It’s like saying creating jobs and improving the economy is a personal political interest and impeachable. But Presidents and their Attorneys General are supposed to enforce the law, ensure intelligence and spy powers are not abused and to root out corruption. Under Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution, the President shall “take care that the laws be faithfully executed…” For Barr’s part, he oversees the nation’s Justice Department and is responsible for ensuring that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act is not abused. Both have a legitimate interest in rooting out corruption, even if those who are breaking the law are members of the opposition party and are doing it overseas. To be fair, that would have been the justification for the Obama administration’s counterintelligence investigation into Trump in 2016, too, which could have been legitimate. The FBI is supposed to prevent foreign infiltration of the nation’s governmental institutions. The reason the spying was illegitimate was not because it was done on the opposition party in an election year — although that would have been reason to proceed with great care, which was not done — it is because the allegations were made-up out of whole cloth. And agencies may have had reason to know it was all fake. What do you think?

Trump is right, strong dollar is hurting manufacturing and exports

President Trump is right, the dollar is way too strong and it’s killing exports:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/president-trump-is-right-the-dollar-is-way-too-strong-and-its-killing-exports/

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden engaged in a coup in Ukraine in 2014, overthrowing the government of Viktor Yanukovych to get a trade deal between Ukraine and the EU ratified. What followed the revolution and the trade deal was a destructive civil war that tore Ukraine in half, poisoned U.S.-Russian relations, caused more corruption, Ukraine participated in its own election interference operations in 2016 in favor of Hillary Clinton and ultimately, brought about the landslide election of comedian Volodymyr Zelensky on an anti-corruption platform in 2019. And now House Democrats are threatening the impeachment of President Donald Trump for simply asking the newly elected President Zelensky about Ukraine’s potential role with the U.S. in the phony Russiagate investigation by intelligence agencies and the Justice Department in 2016 that falsely accused Trump of being a Russian agent, and also raising Biden’s role in the country including having the prosecutor general fired. They engaged in a coup and caused a civil war in Ukraine, and now they want to do the same thing here. Can it be stopped?

Obama and Biden overthrew the gov’t of Ukraine in 2014, now Dems want to do the same thing here

Why did Obama-Biden support the coup of Ukraine in 2014? In Biden’s words, to pass a trade deal.
http://dailytorch.com/2019/10/why-did-obama-biden-support-the-coup-of-ukraine-in-2014-in-bidens-words-to-pass-a-trade-deal/

It may be hard to believe, but the civil war in Ukraine that began in 2014 actually started out as a policy disagreement over a trade deal with the European Union. That’s the story former Vice President Joe Biden tells in his book, “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose,” published in 2017. “A popular demonstration,” Biden wrote, “which started at a square in Kyiv in late 2013, when President Viktor Yanukovych reneged on his promise to take the country into the European Union, had grown from a spontaneous eruption to a real political movement…” Biden is referring to the pro-Europe, anti-Russia trade agreement, called the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement. It was a trade deal Yanukovych’s then-adviser Paul Manafort had advised him to adopt, but in 2013, he rejected Manafort’s advice, pulling out of the deal. What followed was a revolution in Ukraine that ultimately ousted Yanukovych from power in Feb. 2014, embroiling Ukraine in civil war that led directly to the annexation of Crimea by Russia. Yanukovych then fled to Russia on Feb. 22, 2014, and the trade deal was signed in March 2014. By Biden’s account, it was his pressure that prompted Yanukovych to flee. Biden wrote, “I was telling him it was over… The disgraced president fled Ukraine the next day…” and the trade deal was signed within weeks by the new government the U.S. State Department helped install.
