The Steele dossier paid for by Clinton, DNC was not Russian disinformation, it was British disinformation—from Steele:
dailytorch.com/2020/07/the-steele-dossier-paid-for-by-clinton-dnc-was-not-russian-disinformation-it-was-british-disinformation-from-steele/
The intelligence in the dossier by former British spy Christopher Steele, paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign, was not from a well-placed source in the Russian government, but a paid-for employee of Steele’s firm, Orbis, who disputed the findings of the dossier when they were published on Jan. 10, 2017 by Buzzfeed. This, from the bombshell now declassified Jan. 24, 2017 interview by the FBI of the sub-source that was only undertaken two weeks after the false allegations against President Donald Trump and his campaign — that they were Russian agents who had helped Moscow hack the DNC and put its emails onto Wikileaks — became public. In it, the sub-source told the FBI that the allegations were “rumor and speculation,” that his contacts were “too far removed” from the matter to know anything substantial and that he “did not recall any discussion or mention of Wikileaks” with his contacts, contradicting Steele’s allegations of a “well-developed conspiracy” between Trump and Russia. And “he was nervous about the Russians finding out about” his efforts to corroborate Steele’s reporting, meaning they didn’t know about it. The Steele dossier was not Russian disinformation, it was British disinformation — from Steele. What do you think?

Are the state-led pandemic shutdowns a trial run for the Green New Deal? Consider it a warning.
http://dailytorch.com/2020/07/are-the-state-led-pandemic-shutdowns-a-trial-run-for-the-green-new-deal-consider-it-a-warning/
At the height of the state-led COVID-19 pandemic economic shutdowns in April, 25.3 million Americans had lost their jobs as businesses shuttered up and families stayed behind closed doors, waiting for the worst of the virus to pass. While working from home or being furloughed, millions of Americans stayed off the roads, driving much less and monthly fuel consumption down 47.1 percent in April, according to the Energy Information Agency. As a result oil consumption fell off a cliff, the price of oil briefly went below zero. Monthly consumption including of electricity by commercial and industrial sectors during the pandemic was way down, 12 percent and 10.4 percent in April, respectively, according to the Energy Information Agency. Airlines were largely grounded as travel from Europe and China was restricted nationally by President Donald Trump, with fuel consumption down 45 percent year to date according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. And, sure enough, daily global carbon emissions for 2020 had dropped a dramatic 17 percent by early April compared to 2019, with an overall drop of 4 to 7 percent expected for the year. That’s pretty close to the United Nations’ annual global emission reductions target of 7.6 percent. So, is this a trial run for the Green New Deal?

Has cancel culture created a silent majority for Trump? You better believe it.
http://dailytorch.com/2020/06/has-cancel-culture-created-a-silent-majority-for-trump-you-better-believe-it/
In 2016, President Donald Trump consistently underperformed in presidential election polls versus actual voting results leading up to his historic victory against Hillary Clinton. In Florida, polls underreported Trump support by 2 percentage points, in North Carolina by 3.3 percentage points, in Ohio by 5.5 percentage points, in Pennsylvania by 3.5 percentage points and Michigan by 4.1 percentage points. Specifically, Trump garnered 49 percent of the vote in Florida, 49.8 percent of the vote in North Carolina, 51.7 percent of the vote in Ohio, 48.2 percent of the vote in Pennsylvania and 47.5 percent of the vote in Michigan. How could this be? In 2016, there was a lot of social pressure among families, friends and even professionally. If you were a Trump supporter, you could expect personal ostracization from peers and employers. You might be called a bigot. A racist. A fascist. A Nazi. You name it. And so, 2016 was a notoriously hard year to poll politically, given the fear of repercussions among Trump supporters. In 2020, the climate of social fear is arguably even worse. It’s cancel culture run amuck. What do you think?

There has never been a safe, effective vaccine for a coronavirus for humans. Will Moderna’s be the first?
http://dailytorch.com/2020/07/there-has-never-been-a-safe-effective-vaccine-for-a-coronavirus-for-humans-will-modernas-be-the-first/
Moderna is set to put its COVID-19 vaccine into phase three clinical trials on July 27 and is manufacturing stocks in advance of a hoped-for approval by the Food and Drug Administration. “These Phase 1 data demonstrate that vaccination with mRNA-1273 elicits a robust immune response across all dose levels and clearly support the choice of 100 µg in a prime and boost regimen as the optimal dose for the Phase 3 study,” Moderna chief medical officer Dr. Tal Zaks said in a statement on July 14. That certainly sounds good. But is it false hope? After all, there has never been such a coronavirus vaccine for humans ever produced. Not for SARS. Not for MERS. Not for the common cold. And sadly not for COVID-19 — yet. So, what if there is no safe and effective vaccine for COVID-19 ever developed? How do states, businesses and schools reopen in the event there is no vaccine? One thing’s for certain, we cannot stay locked up forever. Kids need to go to school. Millions of Americans need to get back to work. While we should be hopeful that the vaccine will be safe and effective, we need to start debating now rather than later what the alternative world looks like. What do you think?

Biden sides with China, World Health Organization again as Trump begins process of leaving WHO:
http://dailytorch.com/2020/07/biden-sides-with-china-world-health-organization-again-as-trump-begins-process-of-leaving-who/
Former Vice President Joe Biden reacting to President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S from the World Health Organization (WHO), following that group uncritically repeating China’s false claims in early mid-January that there was no human-to-human transmission of the COVID-19 pandemic, says “On my first day as President, I will rejoin the [World Health Organization] and restore our leadership on the world stage.” On Jan. 14, WHO sided with China in saying there was no human-to-human transmission of COVID-19, and again on Feb. 3 when it came out against Trump’s Jan. 31 travel restrictions against China. The whole time, Biden was opposing travel bans from China, calling them “xenophobic” and “hysterical”. Do you think the U.S. should be kowtowing to WHO and Beijing?

Biden’s enthusiasm gap versus Trump may prove to be Democrats’ undoing in 2020: http://dailytorch.com/2020/07/bidens-enthusiasm-gap-versus-trump-may-prove-to-be-democrats-undoing-in-2020/
President Donald Trump has two major advantages politically in 2020 presidential election over former Vice President Joe Biden: incumbency and enthusiasm. Since 1948, in 73 percent of the cases where the incumbent president had served one term, he was reelected. However, that number rises to 88 percent if one considers only cases of incumbent parties in their first term in the White House for reelection. On enthusiasm, in a June poll by Economist/YouGov, 68 percent of Trump supporters say they are enthusiastic about voting for him versus only 31 percent of Biden supporters who say they are enthusiastic. 49 percent of Biden voters say they merely satisfied but not enthusiastic, 15 percent say dissatisfied but not upset and 3 percent say they are upset. Whereas, with Trump, just 26 say they are satisfied but not enthusiastic, 5 percent say dissatisfied but not upset and 2 percent say they are upset. In the same poll, among Biden supporters, only 35 percent say they are voting for Biden, whereas 62 percent say they are voting against Trump. For Trump supporters, 81 percent say they are voting for Trump, and just 18 percent say they are voting against Biden. On those counts, so far, this election is Trump’s to lose. What do you think?
