Appointment Watch: Becker

The mainstream media continue to ignore President Obama’s appointment of bizarre personnel to run the government. Personnel is policy. That being the case the American people need to know about these appointments. This week we look another Obama appointee. This is not an isolated incident or an occasional bad apple. This appointment is representative of the appointments he is making with little or no push back from the Senate during the confirmation process.
Craig Becker, Member of the National Labor Relations Board
- Becker is a longtime union counsel and activist who has spent considerable time advocating for reduced worker rights and increased union rights.
- Becker’s nomination was recently returned to the President by the Senate, but the President decided to re-nominate him.
- Becker doesn’t believe that workers have a right to say no to a union because, “Just as U.S. citizens cannot opt against having a congressman, workers should not be able to choose against having a union as their monopoly-bargaining agent.”
- Becker’s nomination will be considered in committee today.
