April Fools!

It must be a rude awakening for Americans who just woke up from a long winter’s nap.  In just the last month, the Obama Administration and Congress have:

    • Taken over the entire student loan program for colleges,
    • Taxed people who need wheelchairs to pay for health care for those who don’t,
    • Sicked the EPA enviro police onto any business that dares to generate a carbon footprint,
    • Announced a plan to make it so those who pay their home mortgages will be forced to subsidize those who don’t,
    • Forced the most anti-job labor attorney onto the National Labor Relations Board over bi-partisan objections,
    • Made it illegal and punishable by possible jail time for someone to choose to not have health insurance,
    • And managed to embarrass the government of Israel while getting embarrassed by the government of Canada.

This is what change looks like and that is only in March.

Perhaps the most bizarre development was Obama economic guru Paul Krugman’s complaining on ABC’s This Week that the Congressional Budget Office and Republicans are not giving enough credit to the cost savings that the health care law will generate through the binding denial of treatments that will occur by the “Advisory Panel”.

So Krugman argues that Sarah Palin was right! There is a death panel, and it is going to make decisions based upon the likelihood of success of a costly treatment.

I’ve been waiting since Sunday for the above the fold headline by the Washington Post stating, “Palin was Right on death panels.”

I just know that Stephen Colbert on the Jon Stewart Show is gearing up his video to ridicule the Democrats who attacked Palin for stating the truth.

I’m confident that President Obama is going to give a Fox News exclusive tomorrow where he sheepishly admits that Sarah caught him, and that he is following a socialized medicine model where hospice is the preferred treatment for the elderly.

Sadly, on this April Fool’s Day, the only joke is the oath that our elected officials swore to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States, and that is not an April Fool’s joke that is funny.
