Henry Waxman, powerhouse democrat representative from California’s 33rd Congressional District, announced his retirement on January 30th, marking the end to his service in the U.S. House of Representatives after 20 consecutive terms.
His retirement has set off a flurry of speculation as to who may replace Waxman to represent California’s 33rd district including a wealth of state representatives, noted spiritualist author Marianne Williamson, and Rush Limbaugh’s favorite co-ed Sandra Fluke.
One need not worry about Rep. Waxman, however. Unconfirmed reports reveal Waxman’s plans for an illustrious new life in the private sector.
