In 2006, Americans for Limited Government (ALG) led the way to protect property rights in Arizona by helping to pass the Arizona Homeowners Protection Act, Proposition 207. The law ensures that local governments cannot use eminent domain without fairly compensating the property owner.
Now, 15 years later, the city of Scottsdale is trying to ignore the law through a back-handed zoning change.
ALG is once again jumping into the fight to protect private property rights.
ALG President Rick Manning today sent the following letter to the Scottsdale City Council in opposition to the city’s new General Plan.
