ALG on Dove TV: Dr. Fauci and his fellow federal workers did not sacrifice during Covid

Members of Congress and their staff got to go home with a full check and all their benefits.

Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning joined DOVE TV host Perry Atkinson to talk about the one group of workers unhurt by the Covid lockdowns. DOVE TV, a media industry leader in producing compelling faith-based content, is seen on TV stations in Oregon and Northern California as well as streaming video online.

Perry Atkinson: Tell us more about how federal workers were not impacted by the Covid lockdowns.

Rick Manning: I was going through the Department of Labor data, and I was trying to test something very simple. Joe Biden is always talking about the 3 million jobs he’s created since he got into office. I said, ‘Well let’s take a look at that,’ and what I discovered was that the jobs that were restored since he became president, essentially are all occurring in blue states, hard blue states where they finally reopen their economy.

Private sector lost 22 million jobs between February 2020 and April of 2020. In just two months the country lost 22 million jobs.  We all felt it. We all knew what happened. We all saw things shut down. But not the federal government. Their employment went up.

More people were employed by the federal government in March, April, May, June of 2020, then we’re on February of 2020. In fact, they and then they had a massive spike in August, which was largely due to hiring at the Census Bureau. But the fact of the matter is, even today, the federal government employment is larger today than it was in February 2020.

Federal workers were the only people who did not get hurt by the Covid lockdowns. The same employees who were urging the economic shutdowns and called anyone who wanted to open the economy crazy and dangerous.

And let me tell you, Dr. Anthony Fauci and his friends did not sacrifice, they, we were not all in it together. We were in it, and they were out of it.

Watch video here:

Perry Atkinson: That included Members of Congress and their staff, everybody got to go home with a full check and all their benefits.

Rick Manning: And on top of that, now the federal workforce is projecting that 60 percent will work from home on a permanent basis.

The federal workforce doesn’t have a great reputation for being particularly hardworking and industrious. So we’re actually paying the same amount but we’re getting less out of the federal government. The streets of DC are still deserted the business and DC are dead and dying because it because nobody’s there. And the fact of the matter is, the federal employees get to work from home, they got extra bonuses.

They had COVID and they and they still got their raises and everything else while the rest of the country was struggling under a pandemic under economic decisions made to try to deal with a pandemic, and that’s what’s wrong, really wrong.

Perry Atkinson: It’s just salt in the wound, especially for those of us who actually had to do everything possible to keep people employed in some cases we couldn’t.

Rick Manning: It’s estimated that 30 to 40% of all businesses in America are not coming back from that. And now inflation is going to hit small businesses and that’s largely the result of all the extra government spending of the Biden administration.
