Biden’s Spending Bill Tanks in the Polls

Every American who loves this country and wants to preserve freedom, individual liberty, and limited government for the next generation should send an email to their Senators and Member of Congress rejecting Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending bill.

Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group—one of America’s most accurate pollsters in 2016, 2018 and 2020—released the results of a new national survey that could spell the end of the Democrat’s Capitol Hill Spend-O-Rama.

Seventy-one percent of Americans say they are less likely to support President Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion budget bill if they know it increases taxes and grows the national debt.  The polls finds that 67.3 percent say much less likely to support it and 4.2 percent say somewhat less likely.

“Independents and Republicans oppose this bill by huge majorities, as do fully half of Democrats. Almost nobody supports Biden’s runaway spending spree, and folks are outraged that—with everything else they’ve had to endure with this failed presidency—increasing taxes and adding to our astronomical debt are actually on the table,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “The hard left can continue to make noise, but our elected officials know where the public stands on this monstrosity. This proposal is not happening.”

A large majority of Americans oppose Biden’s $3.5 trillion budget because of tax increases and growth to national debt

When broken down by party affiliation, the poll found that Independents and Republicans are unified in opposition to the Democrat’s spending bill, while Democrats are divided.

  • 73.7 percent of Independents say they are less likely to support President Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion budget bill if they know it increases taxes and grows the national debt. 21.7 percent say they are more likely.
  • 92 percent of Republicans say they are less likely to support President Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion budget bill if they know it increases taxes and grows the national debt. 6.9 percent say they are more likely.
  • 50.2 percent of Democrats say they are less likely to support President Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion budget bill if they know it increases taxes and grows the national debt. 33.8 percent say they are more likely.

“This poll is evidence that our campaign to inform Americans about Biden’s out-of-control spending is working,” said Richard Manning, President of Americans for Limited Government. “Every American who loves this country and wants to preserve freedom, individual liberty, and limited government for the next generation should send an email to their Senators and Member of Congress rejecting Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending bill.”
