It is stunning that the U.S. government is declaring hundreds of thousands of parents domestic terrorists for caring about their children’s education.
Americans for Limited Government President Richard Manning joined Real America’s Voice News host Steve Gruber to talk about how parents can fight back against the Biden Justice Department using the Patriot Act to investigate parents as domestic terrorists for simply speaking out at school board meetings. Pastor Brian Gibson, founder of PeaceablyGathered.com, was also on the panel.
Steve Gruber: As you know, we’re seeing a lot of pushback and rightfully so to the Department of Justice ordering the FBI to investigate threats against school boards by parents protesting the use of critical race theory in schools. The National School Boards Association wanted the term domestic terrorism to be used in these investigations targeting parents.
Joining me to discuss this more Pastor Brian Gibson and Rick Manning, President of Americans for Limited Government. How dare somebody speak up for their children. According to Terry McAuliffe, running for governor in Virginia, parents shouldn’t have any need to know what is going on in the classroom.
Pastor Brian: The governor of Virginia doesn’t believe children don’t belong to parents, anymore. They belong to the state. As a pastor and a religious leader and as a Christian, I believe that children were not given to the government for them to raise or to train but they were given to parents. The government doesn’t want to educate our children, it wants to indoctrinate them.
Steve Gruber: Rick, what happened to local control of schools?
Rick Manning: That started to slip away with the creation of the Department of Education. Now the Biden administration doesn’t believe that local parents should have any say, whatsoever in what their children are being taught. This is dangerous on a lot of levels but it’s stunning that the U.S. government is declaring hundreds of thousands of parents domestic terrorists for caring about their children’s education. Unless Congress stands up and pushes back against the DOJ on this, this is just the beginning of the wholesale attack on free speech. We have to stop it. Also, we need to tell our local school board that not a single dime of taxpayer money should go to the National School Board Association which was the catalyst for this. Also, tell your county commissioners, who in many cases fund the schools, that they need to defund the National School Board Association.
