Timely Warning And Reminder Of The Neverending War Against Liberty

By Bill Wilson

There is a tendency, especially by conservative Americans, to look at an election victory or a legislative or political “win” and relax, to fall back and make the assumption that all will now be well. This trend has been a recurring theme in American politics for at least the past forty years. And as the results have shown over and over, it is a recipe for disaster.

Simply put, the enemies of freedom and liberty never rest. They never concede even when they are soundly defeated. They quite simply never stop. For those forces, time is always seen as their most valuable ally. They think and act in decades and even centuries. They firmly believe they can just wait us out.

What is rare is when those enemies of liberty openly speak this truth.

A primary component of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) agenda is the rejection of globalism.  Poll after poll shows clearly that the American people do not want to be “policeman to the world” or sacrifice American youth for the whims of global elites. The Trump administration has taken some initial — some would say tentative — steps to move America back to a foreign policy that is focused on the interests of the American people first, last and always. Doing so has earned the wrath of those who embrace the World Government cult.

Earlier this month one of the prime organs of the globalist network held one of their gatherings to discuss our future. The McCain Institute, named after the late Senator and leading RINO of his age, John McCain, held its annual Sedona Forum.

Here is how the Washington Post’s Josh Rogin described it: “At the annual McCain Institute Sedona Forum in Arizona last week, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, U.S. officials, foreign dignitaries, aid practitioners, experts and journalists convened to examine how a values-based foreign policy can apply to the current volatile international environment.”

Sounds harmless, right? Just politicians and retired military officers and egghead academics coming together to eat and drink high on the hog to discuss their Walter Mitty dreams. But the truth is far different.

This gang came to openly plot how to undo anything and everything President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio have done. They were stark in their calls of support for the enemy in Europe — no, not Russia, but the European Union (EU) — and the central banker who runs Canada and the UK, Mark Carney. Their calls for internationalist schemes in all corners of the world were scary enough. But the final “recommendation” from the event really sends chill down the spine of those who believe in the United States as a free and sovereign nation.

Again, according to the Washington Post, the McCain outfit “recommended” the world instead: “Engage with the foreign policy infrastructure being kept in reserve. The Sedona Forum was a reminder that a coherent foreign policy consensus — spanning defense support for Ukraine, clear-eyed skepticism about China, and deep commitment to alliances in Asia and Europe — still exists in the United States. The lawmakers, retired generals, intelligence veterans and allied officials who gathered in Arizona are not currently setting American foreign policy, but they are organized, institutionally rooted, and thinking about how to repair American foreign policy after Trump leaves office. Engaging with these institutions, think tanks and bipartisan offices now is preparation for a more recognizable American foreign policy that may well return as soon as 2029.” [emphasis added]

The translation? Keep your powder dry and prepare to take back control of American foreign policy the day Trump is out of office. And what does that mean exactly? Restore the billions of dollars in cuts to the USAID programs, many of which have shown to be little more than global grift. Go back to paying Europe’s bills and allowing them to cripple U.S. industry, steal jobs and further their cultural decay into the American body politic. And once again put American youth on the firing line of globalist aims and designs.

The few “Republicans” listed in the article are on the extreme left. The soon to be former Congressman Don Bacon, a retired Brigadier General, was a top ally of neo-conservative Liz Cheney. Mike Lawler, the ultra-liberal GOP Member from New York who is today the top cosponsor of legislation to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and was a vote in favor of allowing hundreds of thousands of Haitians to remain in America under a special protective rule, attended and gave the leftist rant a “bipartisan” patina. So, today’s internationalist wing of the GOP is greatly diminished and of little sway inside Republican councils. That is why they conspire with former Obama officials and a host of leftist World Government hacks.

Regardless, it is a stark warning. Nothing that is accomplished today to advance the United States and to remove the foul effects of globalism and multilateralism will be secure unless MAGA works to secure it. Whether that means more aggressive moves, removing the U.S. from the strangling network of international organizations that bleed us for billions while undercutting us at every turn or simply walking away from the insane demands of Europe, protecting America First means preparing for the future. The enemies of liberty are plotting now. MAGA must respond in kind.
