Krugman’s Call For National Division And DeMAGAfication Is Dangerous

By Bill Wilson

On May 31, the high-ranking economist and pundit, Paul Krugman, issued what is, in effect, a dangerous call for the launching of civil war.  Krugman’s words did not use the term “civil war”— he is calling for a process of “DeMAGAfication” after Donald Trump has left the stage — but the result of his policy advice might just be that. Few in the controlled press noted his radical suggestion but many on both sides of the growing divide are paying attention.

Krugman, known in the academic world for his work on trade theory and international economics, is a leading cheerleader for the globalists’ anti-national policies. His stands are those favored and embraced by the central bankers and the one-world government zealots.

So, it is not much of a surprise that he called for “DeMAGAfication”. In a juvenile attempt to link the MAGA movement with the process employed by the four powers victors in World War II to “denazify” Germany, Krugman is clear that he doesn’t care about any one or two politicians. He wants nothing less than “a purging” of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement from the United States.

If we are to take him at his word, he wants to follow many of the policies implemented in Germany immediately at the war’s end. This applied to blacklisting teachers, journalists, authors, as well as the well-known leaders of the Nazi regime. While most people know about the Nuremberg Trials for the top brass, few people are aware of the widespread trails and tribunals throughout the country where thousands of people were inspected and questioned.  For most, like in much of Western Europe and parts of the United States today, the real punishment was the process itself — a relentless hounding and nitpicking that often led to little more than the inquisition itself.

What is important to note is that the process was a failure. Within a year, the approach to Denazification was handed over to the Germans themselves. A January 15, 1946 report of the Military Government asserted that the effort was failing and that handing the process over to Germans was the likely best route to achieve the goal.

And the goal was clear. The entire ideology of the Nazi Party was to be attacked and eliminated.  Key to this was censorship, outright manipulation of all forms of discussion. In the words of Major General Robert A. McClure, the architect of the Information Control Division of the U.S. Army in postwar West Germany: “We now control 37 newspapers, 6 radio stations, 314 theatres, 642 movies, 101 magazines, 237 book publishers, 7,384 book dealers and printers, and conduct about 15 public opinion surveys a month, as well as publish one newspaper with 1,500,000 circulation, 3 magazines, run the Associated Press of Germany (DANA), and operate 20 library centers … The job is tremendous.” And it included rules against criticizing Allied forces. Like the European Union today, the goal was to outlaw dissent.

Is this what Mr. Krugman plans for the United States? Local tribunals where any person, leftist thug or aggrieved individuals afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome can attack local officials and political activists and have a stacked panel to issue penalties? Are we to expect any and all digital media or other forms of communications censored and restricted if they refer to the planks of the MAGA movement or criticize what is sure to be a neo-Marxist orgy of economic and social destruction?

And what exactly are the planks of MAGA that Mr. Krugman and his globalist paymasters hate so much that they would impose a military-style dictatorship on the American People?

MAGA has three primary planks. First and foremost was and is to secure our borders, stop the flow of Third World, uneducated people into the United States. This flow of people was designed for two things — cheap labor that undercuts American workers and votes for the Hard Left, the Democrat Party. The country wanted it to stop. Trump has done that and continues to fight the communist thugs on the streets who attack our law enforcement agents. But despite the ravings of a handful of activist Judges, support for the process is strong and is not going to be reversed regardless of what Mr. Krugman and his cronies want.

The second plank was the reindustrialization of the United States, end the ridiculous trade deals that literally gave away entire industries for nothing in return. This process is now in full gear. Yes, the Supreme Court ruling on tariffs put a dent in the program, but it is far from terminated.  In fact, manufacturing is growing and the process of rebuilding American industry based on the new economy that is emerging is moving ahead. From energy independence to rare earths mining and processing to Artificial Intelligence, the MAGA program of reindustrialization will not be changed. All that the Krugmans of the world and the green radicals of the climate-cult can hope to do is slow the process down a bit. But they will not stop it.

And finally, the third plank of the MAGA movement is to eliminate the wars of choice and convenience. The end of nation building was a core component in the Trump victories. Some will say that the Iran war breaks that promise and there is some truth to the position that the neo-con warmongers currently have the upper hand.  But it is also clear that the administration is not going “all-in” as those very same war boosters want. And there are possible motivations that may come to be seen as a clear justification for the action.

But what would Mr. Krugman have us do? Revert to proudly claim the title of policeman of the world, stick our noses and the lives of our young into every little fight anywhere in the world? Would he have us drop the insistence of national sovereignty and submit to the dictate of the Third World grift that is the United Nations?

If the Krugman-Democrat plan is to open the borders, launch a dozen new “trade deals” that cripple the looming reindustrialization of the country and submit to the international organizations and allow them to use our tax dollars to impose rules and regulations that further harm America, I pray he and the socialists running the Democrat Party try to run an election on their program. Do it — and California and New York will be in play.

Were there a time in America when such sweeping attacks were in order and justified, it would have been 35 years ago. When the Soviet Union dissolved, when Eastern European nations freed themselves from the stranglehold of Marxist ideology, there was a rare opportunity to eradicate the vile ideology from the United States once and for all. Instead, universities became the hiding hole for these theorists and communists. Nobody moved against them in any venue in the country. And in fact, it was United States officials that “advised” and counseled the new governments in Poland and Hungary not to push the former communists aside. They pushed for “reconciliation” efforts, not the type of purges now called for by Mr. Krugman.

A missed opportunity. Now, we have hundreds if not thousands of openly communist radicals teaching in our colleges and universities. Socialists are now the elected mayors of New York City, Seattle and beyond. But that is what freedom looks like — at times ugly and unsettling but never restricted and locked down. Mr. Krugman may think that left-wing havens are models for the rest of the country but it will not be too long until these socialist fantasies crash and burn like they have in every other place they have been attempted.

So in the end, if the Democrat Party takes power and follows the lead of Paul Krugman and James Carville and other harpies, if they impose their purge on half or more of the country, if they open the borders, shut down the reindustrialization, pack the Supreme Court, create two new “states” to get four more Senators who will do their bidding, and elevate the thugs of the UN, the people of the United States are not going to just calmly go along. Krugman and his ilk are doing all they can to provoke an aggressive response to their insanity.

Forewarned is forearmed. The next three years promise to be momentous. The advice of hacks with a string of degrees, prizes and awards needs to be taken with a truck load of salt.
