Of all the commentary surrounding the July 4 mega-holiday, none was more revolting in its blatant attempt to push the Atlanticist-Globalist agenda onto America than the piece, “On July 4th, Don’t Forget to Thank Europe” published by The National Interest and authored by two neo-con hacks from the Hudson Institute. If it weren’t so clumsily pulled together, one could be forgiven for thinking it mere parody.
The screed starts with the mantra of the Atlanticists: America owes Europe our prosperity and position in the world, that the “alliance” that has existed since the end of World War II is a glorious benefit conferred on the U.S. Of course, no mention of the hundreds of thousands of dead and crippled American youth sacrificed for this so-called prize let alone the mountain of treasure pilfered by the Eurocrats to build their dystopian regime.
In a weak attempt to justify their position, the authors list four reasons why the Atlantic straight-jacket is in the U.S. interest. They are, to be kind, contrived, twisted circular reasoning that falls flat on its face with the most cursory examination. But, here are the four reasons we should all bend our collective knee to the Euro-masters.
“First, Europe is too economically important for the United States to ignore.”
Seriously? They have near zero energy resources, are closing down their manufacturing base and are spending more recklessly than the U.S. Congress, as they fund lavish welfare for millions of illegal alien invaders. Of course, we do a lot of trade, but that trade is replaceable with other products from other nations, more friendly to us in our own hemisphere. Bottom line, we don’t need them. And if they ever tried to use the finance accumulated over centuries of slave-trading and drug dealing, there is the Lincoln Solution — just take it.
“Second, America’s alliances and partnerships in Europe give U.S. policymakers more options in a dangerous world.”
Yeah right! Like when they all refused to support the U.S. in the recent Iranian action. Or, how many times have the Eurocrats stabbed us in the back in the vile United Nations? Too many to count. Oh, of course, when it came to helping them in their former colonies we were the first call. Never forget — the 57,000 dead in Vietnam were to extricate the French from a colony. That blood is more on the hands of Paris than Hanoi.
“Third, Europe matters to the United States because Ukraine is in Europe, and Ukraine is the future.”
This is just obscene. A democratically elected government was overthrown and a puppet installed because Europe did not agree with their policies of walking a middle way with the Russian Federation. Ever since, Ukraine has shown itself as a borderline Nazi regime. Elections suspended, religious institutions shuttered, speech severely restricted, corruption beyond calculation – If Ukraine is “Europe” we should run away as fast as possible. One more item, Ukraine caused the death of independent journalist Gonzalo Lira. As long as the thugs in the Zelinsky regime can refuse to address this state-sanctioned murder they have zero credibility.
“And finally, Fourth and finally, Europe and the forward-basing America enjoys there will matter in any Indo-Pacific contingency.”
The best that can be said is that this is the “go fight and I’ll hold your coat” explanation. We are supposed to believe that bases 4,500 to 5,000 miles away from any possible action are worth the current one-sided relationship with the EU. And, of course, that supposes that the Eurocrats don’t block our use as they most recently did. This is a silly and childish “reason” to stay tethered to Europe.
So, on closer examination it is clear that there really aren’t serious reasons to submerge the U.S. national interest to that of Europe. But there is something more that needs to be considered. Exactly what is the European Union?
They are pursuing a policy of cultural suicide with millions of Third World aliens flooding in. With the radical and reckless action of Spain, the entire EU will be flooded very shortly beyond the already suffered deluge. Speech is being restricted at a pace that would have made the Stasi blush. Native populations are being increasingly placed under the equivalent of house arrest with the presumption in favor of the invader and against the native son.
And, now we learn that there is a move to literally outlaw political groups that clearly represent a sizeable if not majority position of the People. In the Parliament of the EU moves are afoot to ban groups of right of center political parties.
What is the crime? What heinous act have these people committed that so offends the elites in Brussels? These parties you see do not share “European Values”! Kafka could not surpass this Theater of the Absurd.
Bottom line. Europe is lost. It is controlled by neo-Marxist academics and thugs. It still is, for the time being, a nice vacation, see a little history, hit the beautiful scenery, have some good food and then get back home to the land of the free. They have nothing we need and only end up costing us lives and money. It is way past time to scrape Europe off our shoe and move on.
