His book, which is being published by National Geographic, is titled, Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward. This may not be the best time for Fauci to be out on a publicity tour…. In the immortal words of Anchor Man’s Ron Burgundy: “Brick, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that. You should probably find yourself a safehouse or a relative close-by because you are probably wanted for murder.”

The editor of the Global Times wrote – quote – As the US strategic containment of China has increasingly intensified, I would like to remind again that we have plenty of urgent tasks, but among the most important ones is to rapidly increase the number of commissioned nuclear warheads, in the Chinese arsenal. The threat comes as President Biden ordered the US intelligence community to take another look at whether the coronavirus leaked from a Chinese lab. As the Biden border crisis continues to worsen, vice president Harris is more worried about protecting her own reputation than protecting American citizens against illegal immigrants. Harris fed CNN a story this week distancing herself from the role of border czar and blaming Republicans for her failures. “And they made it seem as though vice president harris were going to be the new border czar and she was going to be responsible and be the envoy to border and be responsible essentially for all the problems that arise there.”
Not exactly a profile in courage. Harris claims her real job is to understand the “root causes” of migration. For Harris, those include climate change and violence against LGBTQ people. I’m Catherine Mortensen. Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) met with an open-borders lobby to consider a plan to bring back many of the more than 935,000 illegal aliens that were deported under the Trump administration. According to the National Immigration Justice Center, the plan could be enacted by an Executive Order that would allow deportees to submit a request to return to the United States. The order would grant DHS waivers to deportees that have not been convicted of a felony or three misdemeanors. Given that similar provisions are mentioned in the administration’s amnesty plan, it is very possible that officials within the administration would be supportive of the plan. Today, there are roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. and 42 million foreign nationals south of the U.S.-Mexico border who have said they want to migrate to the U.S. This is a foreign population that is nearly five times the population of New York City.

It’s one of the tactics the Biden administration is using to make you ignore the hundreds of thousands of people crossing the border illegally. Vice-President Kamala Harris is sending 12 companies to Central America. An expert from the Center for Immigration Studies reacts.

Job searches are up in states that opted out of Joe Biden’s unemployment benefits. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. The employment website Indeed has found that people began searching for jobs more in states that decided to opt out of the federal government’s expanded unemployment benefits. Indeed found that search activity grew in the days after states made the announcement about ending the programs and increased across several sectors. A state’s share of national clicks, on average, was up between 3% and 4% from the day of the announcement to three days later. Tourism, hospitality, sales, and marketing saw the greatest increases, although search activity also rose among career paths not typically associated with lower wages, such as banking, finance, and the medical field. The national average of statewide unemployment insurance prior to the pandemic was $387 per week. With Biden’s pandemic bonus unemployment, those same workers are now netting $687 per week on average. That is more than double the federal minimum wage.
