Uh Oh: Democrats are bleeding support from one of their key voting blocs. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. The further left the party goes, the more black and Hispanic voters flee the party. From California to Florida, those groups fled the Democrats in 2020. White liberals are increasingly more left-wing than black and Hispanic constituencies. The defund the police movement isn’t helping. Minority communities want more police around. White liberals and these nonwhite voter blocs are not on the same page on immigration, racial resentment, and other issues that you see the ‘woke’ whine about. Findings of a new study by Equis are likely to fuel hand-wringing among Democratic strategists who worried that Mr. Biden had not done enough to court skeptical Latino voters. Hispanic voters are not gung-ho about a pathway to citizenship. It’s not unpopular per se, but it barely breaks 50 percent support. Clearly, Hispanics and black americans want to live in a country where law and order are respected.

A law that protects migrant families more than others has created a family surge at the southern border. DHS reports a lack of DNA tests to determine who is family and who is not among those crossing the border. Hear what AOC has said about the family issue and what ranchers are reporting is happening to their fences.

Last week, Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey introduced a court packing bill saying the 9-member supreme court is broken. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.
“It is out of balance and it needs to be fixed. Too many Americans have lost faith in the court as a neutral arbiter of the most important constitutional and legal questions that arise in our judicial system.”
“Senator Markey standing there saying ‘the court is broke,’ what they mean is the court at this moment simply is unlikely to rule the way the progressives want it to rule. They want the court to affirm any legislation they send up, any alterations they make and they are just unhappy that it isn’t going their way.”
President Biden has created a court packing commission. It is clear that Sen. Markey’s bill is meant to send a message to the Liberals on that commission: You better come out in favor of court packing, or we’re coming after you.

The House is looking at the concept of granting statehood to Washington, DC. Amazingly, the Democrats deny it’s a power grab of any sort! The founder of the Douglass County, Maryland movement explains what is happening politically and how his idea for retrocession into Maryland is a solid alternative.

As more and more major companies, including Amazon, and Netflix slam Republican election integrity measures, the question is: is corporate America a friend or foe? With Today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Senator Ted Cruz recently blasted big business for being too cozy with big government.
“It has always been the case that big business wants to get in bed with big government. It’s always been the case that big business seeks handouts, seeks subsidies, seeks special benefits at the expense of the little guy, at the expense of the small business.”
While we agree with Cruz that corporate cronyism has got to go, let’s remember that millions of Americans who work for these woke companies don’t agree with the politics of their CEOs. So, is it really fair to attack the entire company because of the fringe political views of their leaders? Perhaps the problem isn’t the American corporation but the small, but influential and unbearably sanctimonious group of leaders who have adopted the woke agenda.

A lot of corporate critics of Georgia’s new election integrity law are themselves incorporated in the business-friendly state of Delaware, which has several election provisions similar to, or even stricter, than those in Georgia. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Corporations such as Coca-Cola, Google, Cisco and Delta Airlines have criticized Georgia’s voting law as oppressive and discriminatory, arguing that the law —which includes photo ID requirements and new absentee voting restrictions—are an attempt to stifle the vote. Coke and Delta are headquartered in Georgia, yet they and several of the state’s other critics are legally incorporated in Delaware. Joe Biden’s home state requires voters provide an excuse for voting absentee. “No-excuse” absentee voting is widely championed by progressive activists as a key provision of establishing a system of permanent, mass voting by mail. Georgia’s law allows for “no-excuse” absentee voting. The hypocrisy runs deep for these woke corporations.

The president and his cronies are fighting to expand the court by four seats to have it their way. Politicizing the courts is never a good idea. It wasn’t good when FDR tried it and it isn’t good now!

New footage released by Project Veritas shows CNN technical director Charles Chester admitting that the network hyped the coronavirus pandemic in order to drive their ratings. With Today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.
“COVID? Gangbusters with ratings,” Chester said. “Which is why we constantly have the death toll on the side. Let’s make it higher, like why isn’t it high enough, you know, today? Like it would make our point better if it was higher,” Chester said. “And I’m like, what am I f***ing rallying for? That’s a problem that we’re doing that. You know?”
Explaining why CNN wanted to report a higher coronavirus death toll, Chester said fear drives ratings up because fear keeps you tuned in. For once, CNN tells the truth.

The Hispanic vote has been leaning more and more to the right these days. There are reasons for that. Latinos for America First believes this is happening. The group is also growing its support behind a Florida politician.
