Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram’s lifetime ban of President Trump has set off an insidious assault on free speech that is reaching into all corners of the free markets.
With the Five Big Things you need to know about the spread of Big Tech’s tyranny I’m Catherine Mortensen.

1. It’s not just Trump Big Tech is banning.

In just the past few days, Twitter banned the account of Trump campaign digital director Gary Coby.
Facebook and Instagram have just banned journalist Elijah Schaffer, an utterly harmless investigator who was known for his revealing interviews with leftist demonstrators.
In another significant development, Brandon Straka’s #WalkAway movement, with over 500,000 members, has just been banned from Facebook. Not only was Straka’s campaign account removed, but so was his personal account along with the accounts of every member of his team.

2. Other groups emboldened to dump Trump and supporters..

The Professional Golf Association announced it will move the 2022 PGA Championship away from Trump’s New Jersey golf course.

The payment processor company Stripe says will no longer provide its service to Trump’s campaign.

E-Commerce company – Shopify – removed all online stores affiliated with Trump, including shop.donaldjtrump.com and trumpstore.com.

Blue Cross Blue Shield – said it will no longer donate money to politicians who voted to reject the results of the presidential election.

Marriot – the world’s largest hotel chain announced it is suspending donations to the Republican senators who voted against Biden’s election win.

Kansas City-based Commerce Bank also said it will pause PAC contributions from politicians who “impeded the peaceful transfer of power.”

3. The attack on Parler was a coordinated assassination. Apple, Google, Amazon, Twilio, Cloudflare, all went nuclear on Parler – dropping Parler within hours of each other.

4. WordPress, which is a major website hosting service, kicked the Conservative Treehouse off its servers.

5. Americans who supported President Trump are facing the most formidable assemblage of financial and media special interests in the history of the world. This is no exaggeration.
Big Tech intends to control everything Americans think and say.

The events of January 6 gave these companies, along with their other corporate and political partners on the Left, an excuse to clamp down harder and faster on free speech and on the people who still oppose their plans.

In Poland, under a recent initiative, social media companies could be fined roughly two million dollars if they remove content or block an account if the content does not break Polish law.

The Polish Justice Minister, stated that on the internet there should be a sphere of guarantees for everybody who feels slandered, a sphere of limitation of various content which may carry with it a negative impact on other people’s freedom. But we want tools that will enable both sides to call for the decision of a body that will be able to adjudicate whether content really violates personal rights, whether it can be eliminated, or whether there is censorship. Parler, the social media alternative to Twitter, has been banned from Amazon’s server, and the Google Play store and the Apple App Store barring it from Android and Apple devices, unless it implements a censorship policy. They’ve been given 24 hours. Twitter permanently banned President Trump’s Twitter account, which had more than 80 million followers. He got his posting privileges suspended from Facebook yesterday. The account itself may not be too far behind. The purge has begun. Cancel culture is going to be worse than ever. You either bend the knee, and renounce President Trump — or your days on social media or in official Washington, D.C. could be numbered. Sen. Josh Hawley just had a book contract cancelled. He and his colleague Sen. Ted Cruz are being cut off by the GOP establishment and Republican donors, simply for fighting for election integrity in a process prescribed under law by Congress more than a century ago. And there are a number of other accounts and cancellations occurring. It is a wholesale assault on the entire Republican Party. Remember all the failures of the past election? Ballots with no signatures, no voter ID requirements, unsecured ballot drop boxes and on and on. Well, the first bill Nancy Pelosi wants to pass in the House this year is a measure that would eliminate every state’s ability to stop that kind of fraud. This today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. But, wait, there’s more. It would give control of the Federal Election Commission to Democrats. It would require state officials to automatically register residents to vote – opening the door to all sorts of errors. It would make it more difficult to scrub the voter rolls of those who have moved or died. It would allow jail inmates to vote. It would allow candidates to use campaign contributions to fund more of their personal expenses. Now would be about the worst possible time to pass such legislation. Of course, if there’s one thing that we know about Democrats it is that they rarely let a crisis go to waste.

President Trump says there will be an orderly transfer of power on January 20th. This is an important statement confirming what each of us who has supported the President always knew would occur once every legal recourse was exhausted. Sadly, Joe Biden will become president in spite of his fraudulent ascendency to office.

Trump is also right not to concede, because that would be to accept fraud. Americans have faced four years of the left’s resistance to the honest election results of 2016, and we have a responsibility to engage in peaceful but vigorous resistance to any and all actions which threaten the individual rights of Americans using all legal means at our disposal.

I hope Trump will lead a movement to restore election integrity by re-establishing the principle of one person, one vote so that the legitimacy of our federal government can be restored. As for us, we will stay in this fight and hope you will join us.
