EPA repeal of Clean Power Plan a step in the right direction, but carbon endangerment finding remains in place:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/epa-repeal-of-clean-power-plan-a-step-in-the-right-direction-but-carbon-endangerment-finding-remains-in-place/
The EPA under President Donald Trump has finally rescinded the Obama era Clean Power Plan that sought to end coal as a form of electricity and puts states in the driver’s seat in terms of regulating carbon emissions rates. But because Congress has left the 2009 carbon endangerment finding in place the probability is that carbon emissions will once again be regulated nationally as a harmful pollutant under the Clean Air Act and Democrats will implement the Green New Deal as soon as they are back in power. What do you think?

Like Ike, Trump moves towards mass deportation of ‘millions of illegal aliens’ as Mexico cracks down:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/like-ike-trump-moves-towards-mass-deportation-of-millions-of-illegal-aliens-as-mexico-cracks-down/#comment-4508072444
Taking a page from the playbook of Dwight D. Eisenhower, President Donald Trump announced on June 17 that the federal government will be undertaking a massive operation to remove millions of illegal immigrants from the United States as part of the new U.S.-Mexico agreement to crack down on illegal immigration. Once derided as impossible by Trump’s opponents, this may be the most major undertaking at deportation in more than 60 years. On Twitter, Trump wrote, “Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in.” Do you think it will work?

Polls 17 months out did not predict the outcome of the 2016 election and they won’t predict the outcome of 2020, either:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/polls-17-months-out-did-not-predict-the-outcome-of-the-2016-election-and-they-wont-predict-the-outcome-of-2020-either/
Almost all of the polls in 2016 declared that Hillary Clinton would most certainly win the election. But they turned out not to be true. Trump won the Electoral College in 2016, not Clinton, 300 to 227, in spite of the state-by-state polls and head-to-head matchup polls. Given Clinton’s favored status, it was one of the greatest upsets in American political history. Now, early in the process, polls show Democrats have an early advantage in 2020. Could it be happening again?

Democrats don’t care a whit about foreign influence, to get Trump they used foreign intel who lied that the President was a Russian agent:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/democrats-dont-care-a-whit-about-foreign-influence-to-get-trump-they-used-foreign-sources-who-lied-that-the-president-was-a-russian-agent/
Democrats criticizing President Donald Trump for suggesting he would listen if foreign sources had information on his opponents (he also suggested he might call the FBI) really don’t care a whit about foreign influence in our political process. In 2016, not only did the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee pay for foreign intelligence on President Trump — which was later found to contain false information that he was a bought and paid-for Russian agent — they trafficked it to the FBI and the Justice Department to have Trump investigated for the false allegations. Can you believe these guys?

Blue Water Navy Vietnam Vets win as Congress unanimously adopts bill extending presumption of exposure to Agent Orange to those who served on ships:

Both the House and Senate have unanimously adopted the “Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019,” which extends the presumption of exposure to Agent Orange to Navy veterans who served aboard ships off the shore of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Land-based military personnel have been given the same benefit, with the presumption of exposure under “The Agent Orange Act of 1991,” and now all will be covered as the bill proceeds to President Donald Trump for his signature.

The Trump tariffs could help prevent another Great Depression by bringing China to the table to talk currency:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/the-trump-tariffs-will-not-cause-another-great-depression-only-deflation-could-do-that-but-they-could-help-bring-china-to-the-table/
Deflation, not tariffs, caused the Great Depression. The Trump tariffs, on the other hand, could prevent such a depression by helping to bring China to the table to achieve a monetary accord before it’s too late. China’s artificially low peg to the dollar makes their exports cheaper but it is hurting the U.S. economy and exerts deflationary pressure on it. Will the tariffs help to bring China to the table?

After voting for NAFTA, PNTR with China, and proposing TPP, now Biden agrees with Trump on China and trade? http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/after-v… After saying of China that “they’re not competition for us,” now Joe Biden has changed his tune, telling Iowa voters, “We are in a competition with China… They are a serious challenge to us, and in some areas a real threat.” As a Senator, he voted for NAFTA in 1993, voted for permanent normal trade relations with China in 2000, proposed the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal with Obama and now he has to run against President Donald Trump in 2020. Biden wants a do-over. And who can blame him?

President Trump’s deal with Mexico on illegal immigration proof that tariffs work:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/president-trumps-deal-with-mexico-on-illegal-immigration-proof-that-tariffs-work/
President Donald Trump hammered out a deal with Mexico on June 7 that Mexico would do much more to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the country into the U.S. on the southern border. The last-minute agreement avoided a 5 percent tariff on goods from Mexico that was set to go into effect on June 10 — and proves that the credible threat of tariffs worked in spite of naysayers who predicted there could be no resolution. Trump, who had announced the tariff on May 30, invoked his Art of the Deal, which is to use your leverage and then, on June 7 a deal was had, just like that. How about that?

Attorney General Barr’s intel review should take a second look at the DNC server:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/attorney-general-barrs-intel-review-should-take-a-second-look-at-the-dnc-server/
The American people have been subjected to a three year ordeal, a national nightmare (and embarrassment), and now we have numerous examples wherein Trump campaign officials said to have met with Russian agents have turned out to be complete fabrications or potentially highly misleading distortions. In short, lies. Which is why Attorney General William Barr needs to take a second look at any time in the Mueller report or more broadly the Russia investigation actions were said by the Justice Department or intelligence agencies to have been directed by the Russian government and Vladimir Putin. That includes the DNC and John Podesta email hacks. Maybe they should look at the servers in question. What do you think?

Apprehensions on southern border hit 144,278 in May as Trump readies 5 percent tariff on Mexico that will rise to 25 percent by October:
http://dailytorch.com/2019/06/apprehensions-on-southern-border-hit-144278-in-may-as-trump-readies-5-percent-tariff-on-mexico-that-will-rise-to-25-percent-by-october/
Mexico needs to get illegal immigrants flowing unabated through its county under control, or else President Donald Trump warns that it will be hit with escalating tariffs on goods it ships to the U.S.: 5 percent starting on June 10, 10 percent on July 1 and then up to 25 percent by October. The tariff threat comes as illegal immigration on the southern border is spiking dramatically. Apprehensions on the southern border hit 144,278 in May, according to data compiled by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol totaling 675,989 apprehensions for the fiscal year so far. That’s already more than all of 2018, which was 521,090. Do you think Trump should use the tariff?
