Countdown: Obama’s 8 most dishonest state of the union moments

“In the coming months, let’s see where else we can make progress together.  Let’s make this a year of action.  That’s what most Americans want – for all of us in this chamber to focus on their lives”

This portion of the address is the operating assumption and the reasoning underlying each of the President’s proposals and plans.

The expressed presumption is that most Americans want Congress to focus on their lives. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Americans want the opportunity to live their lives as independent of government interference as possible. Americans don’t want to be so poor that they require active government assistance to maintain basic standards of living. Americans don’t want NSA data collection and drone photos relaying to the government the intricate details of their lives for Congressional and executive musings. Most Americans want to live the American dream of a life free from government dependence and interference and free to provide for their families from the labor of their own hands.

This paragraph is a key example of why Barack Obama simply doesn’t understand the American people and the American way of life.
