Democrats remain weirdly fixated on COVID as top concern – the rest of Americans are more worried about the rising cost of food and gas. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. This is the finding of a new poll which shows Democrats can’t seem to shake the fear of COVID. Where is this coming from? Comedian Bill Mahr recently cited a separate poll in the New York Times showing how WRONG Democrats are about the basic facts surrounding COVID.
Bill Mahr: “What do you think the chances are that you would have to go to the hospital if you got COVID ? Democrats thought that was way higher than republicans. The answer is between one and five percent okay. Forty-one percent of Democrats thought it was over 50 percent another 28 percent thought it was 20 to 49 percent chance. So, 70 percent of Democrats thought it was way way way higher than it really was. Liberal media has to take a little responsibility for that for scaring the s*it out of people.”

Climate change activist Greta Thunberg joined protestors on the streets outside the U.N. climate conference in Glasgow this week. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Thunberg – who was not invited to speak to world leaders – is none the less having her voice heard. Her message is a bit muddled.

“No more exploitation of people, and nature, and the planet. No more exploitation. No more blah, blah, blah. No more whatever the f*ck they are doing inside there. (Crowd cheers. Crowd chants with Gretta). No more blah, blah, blah. No more blah, blah, blah. No more blah, blah, blah.”

Thunberg told the BBC she thought the summit organizers had not invited a lot of young speakers because they – quote – might be scared that if they invite too many ‘radical’ young people that might make them look bad,” she said, using air quotations. Or maybe they just didn’t feel the need to be lectured by eighteen-year olds who don’t have a clue.

The state now requires localities to start preprocessing absentee ballots earlier, which will save time on Election Day. As a result, officials expect to start reporting absentee ballots early on Election Night, soon after polls close.

Senator Tom Cotton puts the smack down on attorney general Merrick Garland. With today’s Americans for limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. In this exchange, Garland tries to defend his decision to mobilize the FBI against parents who speak out at school board meetings.
Sen. Tom Cotton: “He was cited by the school board association as a domestic terrorist, which we know now, that letter and those reports were the basis for your decision.

Attorney general Merrick Garland: “No, senator that is wrong.”
Cotton: “Judge, this is shameful, your testimony, your directive. Your performance is shameful. Thank God you are not on the Supreme Court. You should resign in disgrace, judge.”

In Louden County Virginia a 15-year old girl was raped in a bathroom – allegedly by a boy who entered the bathroom wearing a skirt and the school board COVERED IT UP out of fear that parents would demand changes to their woke policies. The father of the girl confronted the school board and was called by the DOJ a domestic terrorist.

You will not believe the White House’s pathetic attempt to coopt the Lets go Biden chant. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Joe Biden and a political aid had a photo op recently with a young man suffering from what appear to be significant disabilities. The young man appears to have been coached into promoting Biden’s failed political agenda.
“Brandon, could you please tell the President what you’ve told me and many others what your aid Lynn means to you? Without her I would not be able to have a full life. She has helped me so much. She has allowed me to live a substantial live. They give you hope. And I want to thank you, Mr. President for the Build Back Better program. I’m here to fight with you. You’re not alone. Thank you.”
The “Lets Go Brandon” chant is in fact an attack on a disabled person – not this poor young man – but Joe Biden who is demonstrably mentally disabled.

Virginians for America First, a grassroots group focused on election integrity issues in Virginia, is looking into absentee ballots in the Virginia governor’s race. A sampling of absentee ballots reveals there is potential for shenanigans in the election. Mark Lloyd and Richard Manning break it down.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is suing to stop federal vaccine mandates on federal contractors in his state. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

“At the end of the day, no coercion, people should be able to make informed decisions. The more you try to brow beat people, the more you use the heavy hand of government, or even if it’s just corporate power, it’s bad for freedom, it’s bad for the Constitution, it’s bad for the economy, and it then creates a lingering resentment.”

The Biden Administration is mandating employees of federal contractors to be vaccinated by December eighth. A few months ago Joe Biden was saying that it wouldn’t be appropriate or lawful for the federal government to mandate these COVID shots. But now we have somehow gone from 15 days to slow the spread to 3 jabs to keep your job. Last month DeSantis has sued the Biden administration over its failure to protect our southern border.
