The trillion dollar spending packages President Joe Biden is throwing around like water are truly insane. The US House Minority Leader breaks them down for us and it is truly a ridiculous sight to behold.

In the latest example of wokism run amuk, a pair of black Penn State University professors reported a “noose” in a tree behind their house. With today’s ALG minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. According to the student paper, the Daily Collegian, the professors said the incident was quote – deeply distressing to them and their family. The couple told a reporter they believed the noose was deliberately placed on the tree to harass them.
Responding to the professors call about “possible harassment,” Patton Township Police Department collected the “noose” and began investigating around the neighborhood. The university president sprung into action, posting a statement “expressing concern” about the incident and “offering support.”

After interviewing the neighbor police learned – wait for it — the “noose” actually was part of a swing set. The neighbors’ kid told police he merely had thrown the rope “into the woods.”
Patton Police Chief Tyler Jolley concluded there was “no malice” involved. The department added “no kind of crime [was] committed at all” and that the rope just “happened” to fall on the tree.

The Biden administration is considering using government contractors to track Americans online, according to a new report from CNN. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Because it is a clear violation of the Constitution for the government to spy on citizens without a warrant, the Biden administration is attempting to skirt the Constitution by having government contractors spy on us. A source familiar with the effort said team Biden wants to use outside entities who can legally access private online groups – under false identities. This is exactly what Ronald Reagan predicted would happen under liberalism.
“If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism. And what is fascism? Fascism is private ownership of private enterprise but total government control and regulation. Well, isn’t this the liberal philosophy? The conservative, so-called, is the one that says less government, get off my back, get out of my pocket. And let me have more control of my own destiny.”

In May, we look back just two months ago at a talk Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas gave to the White House press. He tried a few tricks to blame on Trump while essentially inviting immigrants in. It has been a disaster for the Biden administration and the DHS since then.

Johnny Rotten and Glenn Danzig were mega-stars in the punk realm years ago. They were rebels of sorts then. Now they are rebelling against a rising cancel culture and the concept of wokeness. And we can assure you, you probably don’t wanna bang heads with Danzig and Johnny Rotten will leave ya pretty vacant!

Don’t ‘see’ black hands!

Ever feel like you’re trying to lead the Mormon Tabernacle Choir every time you try to get soap out of an automatic dispenser? With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Turns out those hand soap dispensers are racist. That’s the claim of a UCLA student. During a recent debate, the student claimed the dispensers don’t see her hands due to the dark pigment of her skin. Never mind the fact that these dispensers don’t see anything – they are activated by motion. But the bigger problem here is that a student believes inanimate objects are designed with white supremacy in mind. These students go about their daily lives and when anything goes even slightly wrong, they immediately conclude that white supremacy, systemic racism, or racism is to blame. But followers of systemic racism blame it on everything, like it’s an omnipresent boogeyman. They use it to explain any outcome they dislike, facts and data aside. Race baiters ignore the fact that those dispensers annoy all of us.

Later this year the U.S. Supreme Court will weigh in on a critical Second Amendment case – this is why it matters. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. In 2008 the court ruled in the Heller case that law-abiding citizens have an individual right to KEEP arms in their home. But many states don’t allow you to carry those arms outside your home for self-defense. The court will hear a challenge to a New York state law that requires citizens to show – quote – proper cause – to carry a firearm. No law-abiding citizen should be required to prove they are in peril to receive the government’s permission to exercise this constitutionally protected right. If the Court rules in favor of individual liberties and freedoms as we hope it will, it would mean our right to self-defense doesn’t vanish when we leave our homes. If the court does its job, we may soon have the right to not only Keep ARMS, but BEAR arms, as well.

Idaho is the latest state to reject the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public schools. With today’s ALG minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. The Idaho House passed a measure that specifically bans the teaching of any of ideas often found in critical race theory: That any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin is inherently superior or inferior. That individuals should be adversely treated on the basis of their sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin. That individuals, by virtue of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin, are inherently responsible for actions committed in the past by other members of the same sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin. The move places Idaho among a growing number of states rejecting the Biden administration’s push for Critical Race Theory. While students should learn the truth about the evils of slavery, no one should ever be blamed or held responsible for the acts of others.
