Number 1. – A $15-an-hour minimum wage

This could cost the U.S. as many as two million jobs, according to a new report from the Employment Policies Institute.

Number 2 – Green New Deal

Biden’s energy plans would destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs, harm American manufacturing, and destroy $2.5 trillion in gross domestic product by the year 2035.

Number 3 – Right-to-work laws

Biden’s labor agenda is would force millions of workers to join a union and pay union dues.

Number 4 – Higher taxes

Biden wants to repeal the Trump tax cut.

Number 5. Another Covid lockdown

Biden says he would “lock down” the economy again to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Biden’s only experience with job creation, has been creating jobs for his son, Hunter, through graft and corruption.

Under Biden, millions of American workers would lose their jobs, families would struggle to pay higher taxes, and many would be forced into unions against their will.

From 1986 to 2018, the U.S. has taken in 32.6 million immigrants. 6.4 million or about 20 percent were from Mexico alone, according to the annual Yearbook of Immigration Statistics published by the Department of Homeland Security. Put another way, a country that comprises less than 2 percent of the world’s population made up one-fifth of all U.S. immigration. Nearly all of that was the 1986 amnesty and then the family-based preferences for those who received the amnesty. 87.6 percent of Mexican immigrants are family preferences for either U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. Another 1.1 million Mexicans are current on the family preferences waiting lists in 2019, or 33.6 percent of the 3.2 million total worldwide. Soon, they will become lawful permanent residents, and afterward, citizens — all legally. And in 2016, according to exit polls, Latinos voted by a margin of 2 to 1 for Hillary Clinton. The question Republican lawmakers need to ask themselves is simple. How many more elections does the GOP expect to win without the popular vote?

The Supreme Court will consider two cases involving the Trump administration’s border security programs.

With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

One of the cases challenges the administration’s use of defense funding to help pay for the wall along the southern border, the other case involves “Migrant Protection Protocols” for non-Mexican asylum-seekers, mostly coming from Central America.

Unlike in 2016, immigration has not been a driving issue in the 2020 presidential race.

That’s because President Trump’s policies have largely solved the problem of illegal immigration.

Not only would Trump’s border wall come to an end if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden defeats him in November, Biden would quickly move to roll back many of Trump’s executive orders and actions on immigration, according to the candidate and the party platform.

Biden has promised “There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration.”

Let’s not go back to the bad old days of Obama-Biden when illegal immigrants were allowed to break our laws without consequence.”

More than 4.4 million Americans have lost unemployment assistance since mid-August as benefits have run out, according to Dept. of Labor data, and 55% are in blue states with Democratic governors. In the meantime, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) continues to refuse a deal from President Donald Trump to extend these CARES Act programs — even if it means she loses a few seats in the House. The top ten states in the country with the highest unemployment rates in August prior to workers losing their benefits are all run by Democratic governors with the worst lockdowns: Nevada 13.2%, Rhode Island 12.8%, Hawaii 12.5%, New York 12.5%, California 11.4%, Massachusetts 11.3%, New Mexico 11.3%, Illinois 11%, New Jersey 10.9% and Pennsylvania 10.3%. In addition, small business relief, supporting 5.2 million small businesses and 50 million jobs, ran out on Aug. 8 and airlines ran out of money last month as massive layoffs have been ensuing. When will Nancy Pelosi stop putting politics above people?

Biden’s campaign website calls for a ban on the manufacture, sale, and possession of a host of popular semiautomatic firearms, including the most popular one of all, the AR-15. For anyone who currently owns such guns, Biden’s plan calls for government confiscation, unless gun owners pay a $200 tax and register their firearms with a national data base.

In sharp contrast, President Trump, has been a staunch support of gun rights who has resisted calls to back gun control legislation.

Biden not only voted for the 1994 assault weapons ban, he wrote the bill. As we’ve seen in recent months with the pandemic and rise of domestic terrorist groups such as Antifa , Americans are genuinely afraid for their personal safety. With his running mate, Kamala Harris, supporting cutting $150 million from the Los Angeles Police Department, this team’s policies would leave law-abiding Americans defenseless.

Joe Biden glad hands autoworkers while stabbing them in the back.

With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

Delaware resident Bill Slater said it bugs him to see Biden glad handing autoworkers in his campaign ads because he says Biden’s trade policies have destroyed their jobs.

As senator, Biden voted for the disastrous NAFTA trade deal which many say led to the shutdown of both a Chrysler plant in Newark and a General Motors plant in Wilmington.

Slater believes Biden has reigned over the greatest job loss in modern Delaware history.

Biden was senator for the entirety of the decline and death of the Delaware auto industry, he effectively loaded the gun through his support for NAFTA. In his closing words at a campaign stop this week in Ohio, Biden told the audience, that American workers are “just asking for a fair shot.”Biden is right about that. But his trade and energy policies have put American workers at a disadvantage and given countries like Mexico and China the upper hand.

Is Twitter, Facebook censorship of New York Post Biden-Ukraine story the beginning of social tyranny?

Twitter and Facebook have both limited distribution of an Oct. 14 report from the New York Post’s Emma-Jo Morris and Gabrielle Fonrouge entitled, “Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad” detailing an alleged meeting between former Vice President Joe Biden and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi who Biden’s son, Hunter, used to work for, in April 2015. According to the email obtained by the New York Post, allegedly from Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden, “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.” Twitter and Facebook have claimed the news report somehow violated their terms of service in republishing illegally obtained materials. The outrage for Twitter and Facebook is that regardless of where the computer containing the emails came from, the New York Post has a First Amendment right to publish them. It’s freedom of the press, something social media companies have in the past defended. Are we beginning to see what one party rule will look like in the U.S. — with Twitter and Facebook acting as party spokespersons and ministries of propaganda for the Democratic Party?
