Kunbolatuuly says his brother was imprisoned for no reason for 1 1/2 years. That sentence turned into 10 years. He is worried about his brother and doesn’t know if he is dead or alive.

This young man hasn’t seen his brother in two years. The Chinese Communist Party imprisoned his brother in a concentration camp and he is asking for the United States to help find his brother and put an end to these Chinese camps.

Her failed presidential bid may have been a strong indicator that there is not the level of enthusiasm for Kamala Harris as her party would like. She also was not a shining star at the debate against Mike Pence. Check out the latest of her capers.

Would Joe Biden just leave the economy shut down forever? If he wins, Democrats will hold the American people hostage in order to transform America with the Green New Deal, universal income, socialized medicine and ongoing riots in our cities. In every election since 1932, every Democrat winning the White House in his first term has also won the House and the Senate, often with super majorities. Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all did it. And to cement their majorities and the legislative gains they make in 2020, Democrats have already threatened to abolish the filibuster in order to amend the Judiciary Act of 1869 and pack the Supreme Court — increasing the threshold way beyond the current nine justices set by law. This is the most radical platform any Democratic candidate has ever run on. 2020 then is not merely a choice election that will be ruled by turnout — it is an existential threat to the U.S. Constitution and the civil society if Biden wins. Judge Amy Coney Barrett: a new brand of feminism.
I’m Catherine Mortensen with the ALG Minute.

While her success is built upon the trailblazing work of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, she takes feminism in a new direction. She has reached the pinnacle of her career while still raising children.

Feminism has turned a corner. With past women justice nominees, it felt like their gender defined them. It seems different with Barrett. President Trump selected her because of her extraordinary intellectual gifts and her commitment to an originalist view of the Constitution, not her gender.

For many young women today, feminism has a negative connotation. Old school feminists are often seen as harsh, combative, and judgmental. Many women would prefer to be seen as smart, strong, and compassionate. We have a feminist ideal. An ideal that allows women to be a parent, a spouse, a community volunteer, and still succeed in careers.

Joe Biden’s ominous threat about our courts.
With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.
On the question of court packing Joe Biden says, “You’ll know my opinion on court packing when the election is over.”
“Packing the court” is when a president increases the number of judges in order to get a desired political outcome.
President Franklin Roosevelt tried to do it in order obtain a favorable ruling for the New Deal legislation.
In 2013, the Obama-Biden Administration was accused of “packing” what is often called the 2nd highest court in the land – the federal appeals court for the DC circuit.
The fact that Biden has been involved in what looks like court packing in the past, should concern every American. If he is allowed back into the White House, and his party gains control of the Senate, he could very likely push through a Roosevelt-type scheme to politicize the Supreme Court.

A Trump Two-For-One: Creating Jobs, Protecting National Security

I’m Catherine Mortensen with the ALG Minute.

President Donald Trump has made it clear, he is keeping his promise to put America first. The latest example is in the area of energy independence. The President recently took executive action to ensure that our economic prosperity and national security do not depend on importing natural resources from our adversaries.

His new executive order will allow America to expand our domestic mining industry, create well-paying jobs, and reduce our dependence on China for critical, rare earth minerals by reducing unnecessary permitting delays. The president’s actions also ensures America’s military dominance will not depend on natural resources from China.

We have all these resources within our own borders. But we have allowed counties like China and Russia to lock them up. Congress and past administrations have made it harder and harder to develop what resources we still have access to.
