Paul called Omar out for her non-stop attacks on America and reminded her that America welcomed her with open arms when her family fled Somalia as refugees.

“And then I hear Representative Omar say, ‘America is a terrible place. There’s no justice here.’ Well, she came here, we fed her, we clothed her, she got welfare. She got school, she got healthcare, and then lo and behold, she has the honor of actually winning a seat in Congress and she says we are a terrible country? I think that is about as ungrateful as you can get, I’m not saying we forcibly send anyone anywhere, but I am willing to help contribute to buy her a ticket to go visit Somalia.”
Meanwhile, Omar’s bill to require the State Department to monitor ‘Islamophobia’ moved forward in the House. It is a spurious concept designed to inhibit criticism of jihad terror that could soon be funded by your tax dollars.

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall succeeded in amending the National defense Authorization Act for twenty-twenty-two to prevent the Biden administration from dishonorably discharging servicemembers for choosing to not get the COVID vaccine. A dishonorably discharged servicemember loses their access to all VA health benefits, GI bill money, VA home loans, and even their right to own a firearm.

“So this would be a huge hit to our veterans. I don’t know why this White House wants to give soldiers who did not sign up for this with this in mind, when they separate them, why they want to force them with a dishonorable discharge. We want to make sure they get an honorable discharge despite this situation.”
Simply put, a dishonorable discharge treats our heroes as felons. But, our American heroes deserve better. Senator Marshall has been leading the fight in the Senate to stop Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates.

Democrats say they have a plan to raise the debt ceiling without Republicans. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. The House voted earlier this week to raise the debt ceiling — over Republican objections. Here’s Representative Jason Smith of Missouri:

“We have been clear from the very beginning if Democrats are going to pursue a partisan agenda that adds trillions to the debt, they can find the votes to raise the debt limit themselves. Republicans will not cosign a loan to enact a radical socialist agenda.”
But one House Republican DID vote to raise the debt ceiling – Adam Kinzinger of Illinois who two months ago announced he is retiring. In the Senate the vote to raise the debt ceiling is tied to a bill that would protect Medicare from cuts — it’s putting Republicans in between a rock and a hard place. The procedural vote will happen this week and the actual vote to raise the debt ceiling is expected next week.
