If you were anywhere near the Capitol on Jan. 6, you may be getting a knock on your door from the FBI. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. A D.C. woman said an agent visited her neighbor and called her, telling them investigators were tracking people whose cell phones connected to wi-fi or pinged cell phone towers near the Capitol during the riots. Bree Stevens said an FBI agent told her they were reaching out to every single person whose cell phone put them near the Capitol during the riots. She was out for a walk with a friend and his two young daughters on the afternoon of Jan. 6, but they were diverted by bomb scares until they ended up right next to the Capitol. Stevens told a local news station: they can actually pinpoint on Google Maps exactly where you were standing. This raises obvious privacy concerns about the FBI’s surveillance power. the government is watching.

They used to make fun of Donald Trump for saying we will be “winning.” Now no one wins. In the new Biden era, we will see big government, liberal policies take over the country and it might feel like an old George Orwell book!

Washington D.C. hasn’t seen this many troops since the Civil War. With Today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

The images of the inauguration are chilling — it doesn’t look like a peaceful transfer of power. It looks like a government scared of its people. Fox News’ John Roberts is reporting the DC mayor requested crew-served machine guns for the National Guard’s arsenal at the inauguration. Those would be 50 caliber weapons so large it takes a crew of soldiers to load the ammo. According to Roberts, Homeland Security official Ken Cuccinelli denied the request, saying such weapons have no place in securing a civilian event.

It’s not enough, apparently to be guarded by 25,000 National Guardsmen – the DC Mayor is vetting every single one of them — not to ensure loyalty to the Constitution — but to ensure their personal loyalty to Joe Biden. This is outrageous. Presumably, every major troop deployment in history has involved people of differing political views and affiliations.

Biden’s installation looks more like a Banana Republic coup than an inauguration.

We conservatives need to keep our cool — the Democrats are imploding. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

Democrat Steve Cohen, a congressman from Tennessee was on the Fake New Network – CNN – this week making some of the most scurrilous accusations yet against his fellow Americans. He insinuates that national guardsmen protecting the U.S. capitol could be radical plants who want to harm the country. Through some truly twisted logic he said:

“the [National] Guard is 90 some-odd percent male, and only about 20 percent of white males voted for Biden. You gotta figure that in the Guard, which is predominately more conservative … there are probably not more than 25% of the people that are there protecting us that voted for Biden.”

And your point is? What should be done to Trump voters? These clowns will self-destruct. We don’t need to say or do a thing — just watch. Meanwhile, the acting Pentagon chief says there’s no intelligence of an insider threat from the National Guard.

If Biden really wants national unity, he should call off the Trump impeachment trial:

Does President-elect Joe Biden really want the first order of business when he is sworn into office to be the trial of outgoing President Donald Trump? On Nov. 6, 2020, while votes were still being counted, Biden told the nation: “We may be opponents but we’re not enemies, we’re Americans. No matter who you voted for I’m certain of one thing, the vast majority of them, almost 150 million Americans who voted they want to get the vitriol out of our politics. We’re certainly not going to agree on a lot of issues but at least we can agree to be civil with one another. We have to put the anger and the demonization behind us. It’s time for us to come together as a nation to heal. It’s not going to be easy, we have to try. My responsibility as president will be to represent the whole nation.” Biden and the new Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) should carefully consider that the likelihood of conviction in the Senate would be quite low. A Suffolk University poll conducted Jan. 12-15 found 52 percent in favor of removing Trump from office and 45 percent opposed, including 90 percent of Republicans and 44 percent of independents. In other words, there is hardly a national consensus on this matter. With Republicans dead set opposed and about half of independents also in opposition, there would be enormous political pressure on Senate Republicans to acquit Trump. Less than 5 percent of House Republicans supported impeachment in the House on Jan. 13. As Biden warned that day, “the work of the nation isn’t to fan the flames of conflict…” and it is beyond obvious that a trial would do exactly that, imperiling the Union. Biden can and should end this with one phone call to Schumer. This shouldn’t be a hard decision at all — and the future of America may very well depend on it. What do you think?

The more we learn about the assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 following the Save America Rally that coincided with objections being raised in Congress to the results of the Electoral College and the certification of President-elect Joe Biden, the more it appears to have been a pre-planned operation or operations by multiple groups who targeted the rally, the Capitol and even the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters. Specifically, Steven D’Antuono, the head of the FBI field office in Washington, D.C. told reporters on Jan. 12 that “We developed some intelligence that a number of individuals were planning to travel to the D.C. area with intentions to cause violence.” In addition, in Washington, D.C. pipe bombs were planted at both the Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee. And the planning for the Capitol allegedly occurred weeks ahead of time in part, based on public reporting from the FBI and media outlets: in chatrooms, on message boards, on Facebook, YouTube, Parler, Gab and other social media outlets. Meaning, no matter what President Trump said at the rally, there was likely to have been violence at the Capitol. At the speech on Jan. 6, President Trump explicitly urged those protesting the certification of the election results by Congress to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” If the riot at the U.S. Capitol was planned weeks ahead of time, then it wasn’t a spontaneous event that occurred as a result of the speech. In November we launched a campaign offering a $10,000 reward to any resident of Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee, or Philadelphia who provides “Information that leads to the arrest and conviction of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.” Although the DAs refused to see any of the submitted cases, we chose to reward this courageous woman $2K for exposing voter fraud in Philadelphia.

For people who don’t like walls and fences, the Democrats sure are building a lot of them these days! With Today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

The federal government has constructed security walls and fencing across Washington, DC, in anticipation of President-elect Joe Biden inauguration this week, even though he opposes such barriers at the nation’s international borders.

Following riots at the United States Capitol on January 6, the federal government has ordered 25,000 National Guardsmen to Washington, DC.

Crews are erecting barriers with razor wire around the U.S. Capitol. Similar barriers have been placed along streets and around the reflecting pool which sits in between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

While the barriers will be in place through next week’s inauguration, Biden has promised to stop all construction of wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and has claimed that such barriers do not reduce illegal crossings, though federal data indicates otherwise.
