Joe Biden glad hands autoworkers while stabbing them in the back.

With the ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

Delaware resident Bill Slater said it bugs him to see Biden glad handing autoworkers in his campaign ads because he says Biden’s trade policies have destroyed their jobs.

As senator, Biden voted for the disastrous NAFTA trade deal which many say led to the shutdown of both a Chrysler plant in Newark and a General Motors plant in Wilmington.

Slater believes Biden has reigned over the greatest job loss in modern Delaware history.

Biden was senator for the entirety of the decline and death of the Delaware auto industry, he effectively loaded the gun through his support for NAFTA. In his closing words at a campaign stop this week in Ohio, Biden told the audience, that American workers are “just asking for a fair shot.”Biden is right about that. But his trade and energy policies have put American workers at a disadvantage and given countries like Mexico and China the upper hand.

Is Twitter, Facebook censorship of New York Post Biden-Ukraine story the beginning of social tyranny?

Twitter and Facebook have both limited distribution of an Oct. 14 report from the New York Post’s Emma-Jo Morris and Gabrielle Fonrouge entitled, “Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad” detailing an alleged meeting between former Vice President Joe Biden and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi who Biden’s son, Hunter, used to work for, in April 2015. According to the email obtained by the New York Post, allegedly from Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden, “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.” Twitter and Facebook have claimed the news report somehow violated their terms of service in republishing illegally obtained materials. The outrage for Twitter and Facebook is that regardless of where the computer containing the emails came from, the New York Post has a First Amendment right to publish them. It’s freedom of the press, something social media companies have in the past defended. Are we beginning to see what one party rule will look like in the U.S. — with Twitter and Facebook acting as party spokespersons and ministries of propaganda for the Democratic Party?

Is herd immunity the key to opening our schools and economy?

More than 34,000 medical doctors and scientists from around the world have signed the Great Barrington Declaration opposing Covid lockdowns. The Declaration states the measures are causing “irreparable damage” to the economy and to the futures of students who are falling behind.

Instead of shutting everything down until a vaccine is available, these doctors say focus should be on minimizing mortality and social harm until herd immunity is reached.

Rather than harming all kids through school shutdowns, school districts should allow parents to choose whether their children are ready to re-enter the classroom or not. Parents should be empowered to make this critical choice for the future of their own kids. The COVID crisis has created unique challenges and it is time for school districts as well as state and local governments to engage in creative flexibility so that we can move forward while recognizing the dangers inherent for particularly vulnerable populations.

Voices in China yearning to be heard. With the ALG News Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

The Chinese Communist Party has taken millions of their own people and forced them into concentration camps – their stories never told. But one group, the Captive Nations Coalition, is changing that. The group has released a series of short videos with first hand accounts of people who have escaped one of these camps or have family members still trapped in one.

The group’s director says we “want to get their voices to the American public. What is happening in China right now is unimaginable to those of us in the free world.”

One woman believes she was imprisoned because she practiced a form of Buddhism called Falun Gong. In the labor camp she says she was forced to run and march for long hours under the blazing sun. She was sleep deprived for nearly 50 days. She says police fed her drugs which made her feel dizzy and have heart palpitations. She could barely breathe.

You think you know what socialism is? Think again. Conservative Momma breaks it down.

As Joe Biden continues to duck, dodge, and weave on the question of packing the Supreme Court, an elected official in his own party is calling court packing a “dangerous proposal.” Biden said the American people will have to wait until after the election to know what he thinks of court packing. He’s already getting pushback from within his own party. Democratic Congressman Collin Peterson has introduced a bi-partisan resolution to permanently set the number of U.S. Supreme Court Justices at nine. Peterson’s resolution is the first step toward protecting the highest court in the land from political corruption that Biden’s far-left base is calling for.

Biden won’t just say “no” to court packing because he fears it will alienate his far-left base. But he’s already alienated at least one member of his party. We’ll have to “wait until after the election” to find out how many independent voters he’s alienated.
