On the question of court packing Joe Biden says, “You’ll know my opinion on court packing when the election is over.”
“Packing the court” is when a president increases the number of judges in order to get a desired political outcome.
President Franklin Roosevelt tried to do it in order obtain a favorable ruling for the New Deal legislation.
In 2013, the Obama-Biden Administration was accused of “packing” what is often called the 2nd highest court in the land – the federal appeals court for the DC circuit.
The fact that Biden has been involved in what looks like court packing in the past, should concern every American. If he is allowed back into the White House, and his party gains control of the Senate, he could very likely push through a Roosevelt-type scheme to politicize the Supreme Court.

A Trump Two-For-One: Creating Jobs, Protecting National Security

I’m Catherine Mortensen with the ALG Minute.

President Donald Trump has made it clear, he is keeping his promise to put America first. The latest example is in the area of energy independence. The President recently took executive action to ensure that our economic prosperity and national security do not depend on importing natural resources from our adversaries.

His new executive order will allow America to expand our domestic mining industry, create well-paying jobs, and reduce our dependence on China for critical, rare earth minerals by reducing unnecessary permitting delays. The president’s actions also ensures America’s military dominance will not depend on natural resources from China.

We have all these resources within our own borders. But we have allowed counties like China and Russia to lock them up. Congress and past administrations have made it harder and harder to develop what resources we still have access to.

With the Americans for Limited Government news minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

At last week’s presidential debates Joe Biden, to his great shame, dismissed Antifa is “an idea, not an organization.” But Attorney General William Barr has said the violence Antifa instigates and carries out is “domestic terrorism.” FBI Director Christopher Wray has called Antifa “anarchists and agitators.”
If Joe Biden insists on calling Antifa just an idea, could he at least call it a bad one?
The Foundation for Economic Education wrote of Antifa’s tactics, “they must use intolerance, aggression, coercion, and intimidation in order to subvert—in their estimation—the oppressive patriarchal capitalist society. The only way they can turn the tables of power is to use force and threats of force, which are completely justified by the ends they achieve.”

Biden has not clearly articulated that he will protect America from the radical ideology that is Antifa. Americans want a leader who will first and foremost keep us safe.

If former Vice President Joe Biden, who routinely takes time off from the presidential campaign, governs the way he campaigns, at best he’ll be a part-time President. That’s too bad. Because if Biden wins, being President is a full-time job. Just ask President Donald Trump, who just contracted the Chinese coronavirus and has kept right on working through it after briefly being admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center. Biden, who at 77 years old would be the oldest President ever elected, already appears to be semi-retired, only apparently seeking one term of office. He’s been called a potential “transition president.” With threats emerging from China, Iran and elsewhere, and ongoing damage being wrought by the pandemic and the lockdowns, the American people cannot afford to have as president somebody who is not fully committed to the task at hand.

Reuters fact checked a story published two weeks ago in the Washington Times about Joe Biden’s claim that he “got started” at the historically black college, Delaware State University. University officials told the paper Biden was never a student.
An open-and-shut-case, right? Biden lied.
Not according to Reuters. They concluded the story was False because Biden was likely referring to the support he received when he launched his first senate bid at the campus in 1972.
Biden’s claim, which he made to an audience of mostly African-American voters in South Carolina, was clearly an attempt to pander to a voting bloc he desperately needed to win the Democratic nomination.
Biden has spent his career embellishing or outright lying about many aspects of his life.
The crack team of fact checkers at Reuters either doesn’t know Biden’s past, or didn’t bother to check. Just another reason why Americans don’t trust the media.
