Former Today show host Katie Couric is facing a backlash for her recent comments on the Bill Maher show asking – quote – how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump. Seriously? After the Left and the mainstream media spent 3 years challenging the legitimacy of the 2016 president election — EVERY. SINGLE. DAY the media ran stories of the totally baseless conspiracy about Russian collusion. I think those clowns are the ones that need to be deprogrammed. There is FAR more evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 election than there ever was of Russian collusion — but the left kept up that fake news narrative and spent 32-million dollars of taxpayer money on the Mueller investigation — only to prove THERE WAS NO COLLUSION. If Katie Couric wants to talk about deprogramming people — she and her friends in the mainstream media should be the first in line.

Unions that endorsed Joe Biden for president are experiencing buyer’s remorse. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

President Biden has canceled the Keystone XL pipeline. Now, the unions that supported Biden are criticizing the newly-elected president for the political move that they say will “kill thousands of good-paying union jobs!”

Donald Trump signed an executive order to advance the $8 billion Keystone XL pipeline project, which would pump 35 million gallons of crude oil a day from Canada to Nebraska.

Citing climate change concerns, the Biden administration announced last week it would revoke the federal permits for the pipeline. Immediately, the Canadian company behind the pipeline said they would cut more than 11,000 jobs. The Laborers’ International Union of North America tweeted – the decision to cancel the Keystone Pipeline will kill thousands of good-paying UNION jobs. HMMM – Right after the election, the union tweeted “Together, we helped push Joe Biden and Kamala Harris over the top, and we helped elect many pro-union candidates.”

Day two of Biden presidency and our National Guardsmen were forced to leave the Capitol – ‘banished’ to a DC parking garage. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen.

Officers were told they could no longer access areas of the US Capitol Complex — including a Senate office cafeteria previously used as a rest area — after protecting the nation’s capital in the days leading up to the presidential inauguration.
One unit of 5,000 officers was forced to take breaks in a nearby garage with no internet reception, a single electrical outlet and only two bathroom stalls.

One guardsman said: We feel incredibly betrayed. Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage.

After outrage from the public and even some in Congress — the troops have been allowed to return following an outpouring of outrage from lawmakers and the public.

If you were anywhere near the Capitol on Jan. 6, you may be getting a knock on your door from the FBI. With today’s ALG Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. A D.C. woman said an agent visited her neighbor and called her, telling them investigators were tracking people whose cell phones connected to wi-fi or pinged cell phone towers near the Capitol during the riots. Bree Stevens said an FBI agent told her they were reaching out to every single person whose cell phone put them near the Capitol during the riots. She was out for a walk with a friend and his two young daughters on the afternoon of Jan. 6, but they were diverted by bomb scares until they ended up right next to the Capitol. Stevens told a local news station: they can actually pinpoint on Google Maps exactly where you were standing. This raises obvious privacy concerns about the FBI’s surveillance power. the government is watching.
