Last September Kamala Harris said she wouldn’t trust Trump’s word that the Covid vaccine, then under development through his Operation Warp Speed program. That same time, Joe Biden, who at a September press conference last year strongly implied that vaccine production under Trump might have somehow been compromised by political opportunism.

“We can’t allow politics to interfere with the vaccine in any way,” he said. “Americans have had to endure President Trump’s incompetence and dishonesty when it comes to testing and personal protective equipment. We can’t afford to repeat those fiascos when it comes to a vaccine.
“I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump. And at this moment, the American people can’t either.”
Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island suggested he woudnt’ trust the FDA or CDC on the safety of a Covid vaccine because Trump had quote – screwed up” the agencies.” And now the Democrats want to blame Trump and his supporters for their skepticism of the vaccine! Can love overcome hate when it comes to the teaching of critical race theory? With today’s Americans for Limited Government minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Senator Josh Hawley thinks so. He is proposing the “Love America Act” to fight the teachings of critical race theory. Hawley told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that his legislation would combat the “misinformation the Left is spreading” that the United States is “a racist country” that’s “systemically evil.” “That’s not true. This is a great nation. We’re a nation of liberators. It’s time to reclaim that and to teach our children who we are, who they are, and that’s why my bill would say, ‘Listen: If a school district gets federal money, you’ve got to teach the basic truth about the country, [such as] the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration, [and] the Pledge of Allegiance. These are the things, the documents, that express the ideals that unite us as Americans. You’ve got to replace the lies with the truth, and that’s what I’m trying to do.”

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) is demanding to know why the Department of Justice won’t release 14,000 hours of surveillance video that in some cases, may exonerate individuals being held prisoners for their alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. A top House Republican is seeking more information about a former senior FBI official who made unauthorized contact and accepted unapproved gifts from members of the media in the run-up to the 2016 election. Jim Jordan wrote a letter last week to Justice Department Inspector General asking for more information about an investigation into allegations of misconduct against an unnamed then-senior FBI employee. The congressman asked for an unredacted case file for the summary, including all relevant documents, communications, and any other evidence, that would help the panel ascertain “the extent of this serious misconduct” and “evaluate the FBI’s handling of the matter.” The inspector general found that the FBI official violated federal regulations and FBI policy by accepting tickets from members of the media to two black tie dinner events and received transportation to one event from a reporter, all without prior authorization. When it comes to energy, a chief issue of Carter’s presidency, Biden has already overseen a sea change that harmed the industry. The president’s day one hatchet job on the planned Keystone XL Pipeline left thousands reeling as their jobs evaporated at the stroke of a pen. When the Biden administration also put forth a plan to freeze drilling permits on federal land for at least the first year of his term, American energy independence seemed to slip away. Biden insisted on keeping extra unemployment benefits in his American Rescue Plan, even as the economy struggled to rebound. This has contributed to disappointing unemployment numbers. The result has been an economy that is more sluggish than expected — while prices at the pump and in the grocery stores continue to rise — all of which have raised the specter of stagflation not seen since Carter’s presidency.
